Description for Amtrol WX-350

WELL-X-TROL® redefined the industry in 1963 as the first pre-pressurized diaphragm well tank. Today, Well-X-Trol Professional series tanks continue to deliver unparalleled performance and longevity, making them the most recognized brand on the market. With its sealed air charge and unique water chamber design, Well-X-Trol remains the choice of professionals.

WELL-X-TROL Professional tanks were the first to meet all industry standards for quality and safety. The butyl diaphragm in all models meets EPA requirements for potable water as defined in the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1986. The entire tank which includes the virgin polypropylene liner, butyl diaphragm, and acceptance fittings for a 100% corrosion resistant water reservoir is listed by NSF International Standard 61.

Exclusive butyl diaphragm, along with the 100% corrosion-proof virgin polypropylene liner, are secured by a positive hoop ring seal for added strength and reliability. This totally integrated system outperforms other types of water chamber designs. The plated steel air valve is welded rather than threaded to prevent loss of air pressure. The finest quality, custom mill steel is used in the deep drawn dome for extra strength while keeping tank weight to a minimum.

Features:

  • High-strength steel shell
  • Virgin polypropylene inner liner will not crack, chip, flake or peel
  • Thick butyl rubber diaphragm offers the lowest permeability of any material used today and will not support bacterial growth
  • Heavy duty butyl diaphragm is the thickest in the industry and features seamless construction for uniform strength and flexibility. It conforms exactly to the shell configuration without stretching, creasing, or forming bubbles or corners that could trap water or sediment. Butyl is the best known elastomer to prevent air loss.
  • Diaphragm design will not collapse or tear like bladder designs
  • Steel system connection withstands aggressive water
  • Welded air valve is permanently attached rather than mechanically threaded to prevent loss of air pressure and to minimize stress on the well's pump system. It also carries a tamper-evident warning label.
  • Deep-drawn steel domes offer twice the strength of rolled steel while minimizing weight.
  • Unique positive hoop ring seal secures diaphragm and liner for added strength and reliability.
  • Polypropylene liner provides a 100% corrosion resistant, non-metallic rigid water reservoir that is listed by NSF® International Standard 61.
  • Exclusive welding process eliminates interior rough spots and sharp edges that can damage the diaphragm and liner.
  • Each finished tank is pressure tested for safety.
  • Each finished tank is pre-pressurized to the most common pump cut-in pressure.
  • Exterior appliance-like finish looks attractive while protecting the tank from the elements.

PLEASE NOTE: The product weighs 166 lbs. and may require the use of a
lift gate.
If you do require a lift gate at your delivery, you'll have the option to add this FREE of charge when you checkout.

WXC-350 119 gallon tank works great

Wells are simple things. The pump lasts longer if it cycles less, so buy a bigger pressure tank if at all possible. The pressure tank lasts longer if it is a quality product, so buy a WELL-X-TROL Tank. We have two houses sharing a well, with a 1.5 HP pump and two WX-350 pressure tanks. It all works transparently, no problems.

A real sturdy world class product.

Comments about WX-350, 119 Gal WELL-X-TROL Well Tank (Stand):

WE use these 4 Tanks for water filter system for Welwater for use at our 25Room Motel/Commercial property.
The revised standard of quality covering 150PSI pressure range is a great safety measure and shows a sign of GREAT design with no match in the world.

An additional provision of a plasic or metal PAN underneath the water tank to collect water when condensed due to temperature difference in summer season will protect wooden floor.

For our farm water system, this tank supplies us with more pressure and draw down than other captive air pressure tanks. Price is the only complaint I have with this tank.

    Q:

Do these pressure tanks lose strength over time, and if so, is the diaphram replaceable or does one have to buy a complete new unit?

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The tanks should be checked every year. You can charge them but if the diaphragm is bad, the whole tank must be replaced.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

The whole unit will have to be replaced. The only way it will lose pressure is getting a pin hole leak - cause by abrasive in the water, etc.
