Comments about Astro-230CI Cast Iron Circulator, 0-20 GPM Flow:

I used this as the circulation pump for my outdoor wooburner. It has 3 dpeeds and it works very well and is of good quality workmanship.
The only problem I had was finding the outer flanges and the gaskets. I did not know the were not included with the pump.

Comments about Astro-230CI Cast Iron Circulator, 0-20 GPM Flow:

Using this pump in a residential hot water circulating system. I really like the adjustalbe speed and how quiet the pump is. Replaced an earlier model of the same Armstrong Pump that has been in service for over 15 years.

    Q:

I would like to use this pump to circulate pool saltwater through a solar heater. I am wondering if the pump, being cast iron, will hold up to the saltwater going through it and not corrode?

If this is not a good model pump for this application, would you recommend a model that I could use that wouldn't break the bank.

    Thanks, Mark
