Description for Baseboarders BB001-72

Use this Retrofitting Guide to verify that your existing baseboard heaters will fit the one-size-fits-most baseboard heater cover replacements.

NOTE: For Hydronic (hot water type) Baseboard Heaters. Baseboarders are not to be installed over electric baseboard heaters.

Warranty: Lifetime warranty covers against the development of any rust. Original purchaser only.

Features:

  • Curved Elegant Design
  • Made of 22 gauge perforate steel.
  • Features TWO separate layers of protection against rust: an electroplated galvanized coating over the carbon steel and an epoxy-based powder coat in semi-gloss white.
  • Designed to retrofit on to most existing baseboard heater covers.
  • Superior Airflow... Airflow is the critical factor in proper baseboard heating. We use a perforated steel screen that visually hides the originally installed heater cover while ensuring that the heating element receives proper airflow.
  • Safer around children than traditional baseboard covers... The dangers associated with hot finned tube heating elements are well known. Our one-piece design doesn't allow for little fingers or small flammable toys to be placed inside the heater via the top gap where the heat comes out.
  • Simple to Install... It just doesn't get any easier. Only the non-permanent components of the existing heater cover are discarded. The back cover that is mechanically fastened to the wall stays in place.
  • Baseboarders are made of steel and will get just as hot as the original covers.

Used in bathroom to hide old rusty baseboard. This product hides the old and looks beautiful. Hopefully with good care, it will stay looking great for years!

Was packaged in lots of bubble wrap so it was not damaged or bent in shipping.

The material was easy to cut with my standard tin snips to make an exact fit. Then it slipped in right behind the top of the baseboard unit, add the end caps and done in 15-20 minutes.

I am planning on ordering, but I recently removed the back plate from my old baseboard cover and disposed of it. I saw in the installation video that you could do use wall mounts for the new baseboard cover. Is it safe or wise to not have a back plate?

Are there good looking plastic or molded covers? Thank you.

Paint the heaters and always use the exhaust fan to control moisture, mold, rust etc, or replace with DIY baseboard heater covers.

Also use gloves as the cut end can be sharp. I have used these covers on almost all of my baseboard radiators, they look great and will not rust, even if used in the bathroom, have had for over 3 yrs now and they look brand new. You can use a plyers after the cut to even out the edge.

I think I asked Pex Supply the same thing. But it is very easy to purchase a pair of heavy duty shears to cut the covers to fit your size. That is what I did for lengths that were smaller than what was available and it worked just fine.
