Description for Baseboarders BC001-36

Use this Retrofitting Guide to verify that your existing baseboard heaters will fit the one-size-fits-most baseboard heater cover replacements.

NOTE: For Hydronic (hot water type) Baseboard Heaters. Baseboarders are not to be installed over electric baseboard heaters.

Warranty: Warranty covers against the development of any rust. Original purchaser only.

Features:

  • Made of 24 gauge perforate steel.
  • Features TWO separate layers of protection against rust: an electroplated galvanized coating over the carbon steel and an epoxy-based powder coat in semi-gloss white.
  • Designed to retrofit on to most existing baseboard heater covers.
  • Superior Airflow... Airflow is the critical factor in proper baseboard heating. We use a perforated steel screen that visually hides the originally installed heater cover while ensuring that the heating element receives proper airflow.
  • Safer around children than traditional baseboard covers... The dangers associated with hot finned tube heating elements are well known. Our one-piece design doesn't allow for little fingers or small flammable toys to be placed inside the heater via the top gap where the heat comes out.
  • Simple to Install... It just doesn't get any easier. Only the non-permanent components of the existing heater cover are discarded. The back cover that is mechanically fastened to the wall stays in place.
  • Baseboarders are made of steel and will get just as hot as the original covers.

Comments about 4' DIY Basic Baseboard Heater Cover:

This was purchased to update our old and rusty baseboard hydronic heater in our bath after we remodeled. Looks better than the original cover when it was new and gives a much more modern and clean look. Another advantage is that if you did want to repaint to color match, the cover would just slip off and back on so painting would be a breeze. best value I could find on the web. Don't forget to purchase the end covers. Goes on ez, looks great.

Comments about 4' DIY Basic Baseboard Heater Cover:

Bought this with the 2 end caps to replace an old rusty and beat baseboard heater cover during our bathroom remodel. It really looks great. I don't know why the companies don't offer a cover on the originals that look this good.
Only cons are the cost and the fact that it didn't go on quite as easily as in the videos, but I guess that is to be expected.
One other nice thig is that if it ever does rust could easily be removed to repaint or to match a new wall color if desired.
Supply house has the best price as usual. Thanks

The easy installation of the product is great. The look is great also. We have put them in 2 rooms in our house and would use them in the others also as we renovate.

The product description and accompanying video were great. I gave it 5 stars although the snag I hit was figuring out that the end caps had little tabs in them to secure the front of the heater cover. Once I got over that brain fart it was easy to install. Pass on the install brackets they're over priced and are the same as "L" brackets you can get at a home center for a fraction of the price.

The covers really updated the look of the baseboards. Super easy installation was a plus. They are a little on the expensive side, but I am very glad I made the purchase. After ordering my product, the shipping company damaged some of the baseboard covers. I contacted Supply House and they corrected the issue immediatly. They were great to work with during the entire process.

By installing Baseboarders using the WB001 wall brackets would mean you can determine the height of the covers. The bottom of the finned tube element should be located no less than 1" above the finished floor.
