Description for Baseboarders BC001-36

Use this Retrofitting Guide to verify that your existing baseboard heaters will fit the one-size-fits-most baseboard heater cover replacements.

NOTE: For Hydronic (hot water type) Baseboard Heaters. Baseboarders are not to be installed over electric baseboard heaters.

Warranty: Warranty covers against the development of any rust. Original purchaser only.

Features:

  • Made of 24 gauge perforate steel.
  • Features TWO separate layers of protection against rust: an electroplated galvanized coating over the carbon steel and an epoxy-based powder coat in semi-gloss white.
  • Designed to retrofit on to most existing baseboard heater covers.
  • Superior Airflow... Airflow is the critical factor in proper baseboard heating. We use a perforated steel screen that visually hides the originally installed heater cover while ensuring that the heating element receives proper airflow.
  • Safer around children than traditional baseboard covers... The dangers associated with hot finned tube heating elements are well known. Our one-piece design doesn't allow for little fingers or small flammable toys to be placed inside the heater via the top gap where the heat comes out.
  • Simple to Install... It just doesn't get any easier. Only the non-permanent components of the existing heater cover are discarded. The back cover that is mechanically fastened to the wall stays in place.
  • Baseboarders are made of steel and will get just as hot as the original covers.

The product description and accompanying video were great. I gave it 5 stars although the snag I hit was figuring out that the end caps had little tabs in them to secure the front of the heater cover. Once I got over that brain fart it was easy to install. Pass on the install brackets they're over priced and are the same as "L" brackets you can get at a home center for a fraction of the price.

First, I'd like to say Supply House itself is fantastic in terms of product availability, shipping speed and customer service. The Baseboarder heater covers are also great - if you can get one that is not dented. The first one I ordered had major dings in it, so supplyhouse sent another one at no cost. This one also arrived dinged up in two areas in the front. For the price of this simple piece of metal, that is unacceptable. I decided to just keep the damaged baseboarder and live with the dings, but will not be ordering any more.

Used these heater covers to replace old ones in condo. Looks great now. A couple of baseboards arrived damaged but were replaced quickly by supplyhouse. I would definitely recommend this.

Product was devlivered very quickly from ordering and I was very pleased with the quality of the material and design. Only down side I experienced was that in ordering 3 pieces, they were taped together with packaging tape for shipping. This caused sticky residue on the the coveres that was difficult to remove.

I found these and had high hopes being I had almost 50 feet of covers I needed and had paid a pretty heavy price. Thankfully these made my basement. They look awesome and I am back buying some more for my kitchen now!

I was so thrilled that I could find such a product online. Our electrician said, we could only paint the baseboard to clean it up. There was no way to replace it.

I did a lot of research and watched the videos to be sure it was the right product for our bathroom. This was not only easy to install, but looks fabulous. It really makes the room.

I am tempted to do the whole house even though the other rooms don't have any damage (like the bathroom did).

I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to dress up or replace damaged baseboards.

Easy to install, and built to last. No complaints except would be nice if it could also be bought in just primer coated so you could paint to your desired color without having to sand.

The product was very good. However, I received 3 different boxes of baseboard covers and the contents consistently had heavy packing tape wrapped around the parts and the bubble wrap. The packing tape left heavy glue on each of the parts. It took a bunch of time to clean off the glue with mineral spirits. Also, I ordered 16 wall brackets. I received 15 brackets and one rubber corner protector that looks similar to the wall bracket but is not the correct part.

You may use two smaller sections of basic baseboard cover and join them with the connecting coupler part CP004. For example you could joint a 3 ft section BC001-36 with a 4 foot section BC001-48 to reach 7 feet in total.

By installing Baseboarders using the WB001 wall brackets would mean you can determine the height of the covers. The bottom of the finned tube element should be located no less than 1" above the finished floor.
