I recently installed a hydronic radiant floor in my home and was having trouble with thermosiphoning in the loop. Before this valve my heat source would have multiple fire events with no call for heat from the zone.
Sine the actual operation of this valve is not very clear by the description; there is a plunge style valve in the body with a VERY light spring which will hold back natural flow but easily overpowered by the pump.

Q:I plan on installing Danfoss TRV's on each radiator. Each radiator will be plumbed with 1/2" pex using the home run method. The supply and return attach to 1-1/2" manifolds. What type of valve should I use to balance the system? Or can the TRV be used for this?
