The coupler I ordered from PexSupply is used to join the motor assembly of a hydronic heating circulating pump to the impeller assembly that forces water through the heating system. It was [...] a snap to install. It saved me over $600 in plumber's fees and the cost of a new pump.

It is what it is. A coupling that has been around for years. Made well, but it does wear out and have to be replaced periodically.

Repaired two pumps

Comments about Coupler, Cast Iron (Series 100, HV, PR, 2"):

We used these couplers together with replacement bearing assemblies to repair two pumps for our church heating system. We could not find repair parts locally nor we could we find a replacement pump locally. We now have the system operating and have a spare pump on the shelf all for a price ~ 60% less than a single new pump. Supply House.com delivered these parts on time with no shipping fees. I would do business with them again and recommend them to others.

I cold night coming up went to local supply house to buy one they had it buy wouldn't sell it to me because I wasn't a contractor. Went on line found the same product here it was a lot cheaper even with 2 day air shipping. Got it on the morning of the second day it was as described I installed it everything working great.

Just make sure you have a long 1/8 Allen wrench to remove the old and install the new coupling, a short one won,t work.

Comments about Coupler, Cast Iron (Series 100, HV, PR, 2"):

My B&G circulating pump would not turn on. Even though the coupler still looked to be in okay shape, I still decided to swap it out along with both motor mounts. After replacing the parts it worked like a charm. Much, much cheaper to repair yourself, as it is not difficult.
