does this boiler heat both baseboard water and domestic hot water for showers and such
    Asked on 10/21/2012 by erhoads

This boiler can heat water for space heating through baseboards, but you would need to connect an indirect water heater to the boiler in order to use it as a heat source for domestic hot water.

You can heat both baseboard and domestic hot water. You probably will
need some type of heat exchanger for domestic hot water to keep the two
liquids divided. Something like a brazed plate heat exchanger would work.

      It should.
The HW tank will need a "heat exchanger" Tank or side exchanger for your present HW tank for Dom H2O.
I would think the baseboard heater would also work for radiators (which I have).

How many square feet would this be acceptable for?

    • A:

The amount of square feet that this would work for depends on a number of factors. You can use the BTU calculator in order to find a better idea of how many BTUs you'd need at http://www.pexsupply.com/pex/control/BTUCalculator?intcmp=calc;btu-prod .

Answered on 12/7/2011 by Anonymous from None

That depends on your BTU requirement. A full heat-loss calculation would be needed to determine a precise figure, but our BTU Calculator provides a good starting point: http://www.pexsupply.com/pex/control/BTUCalculator

how long is yhe burn time on this model
Asked on 1/25/2011 by gip from mooers

    1 answer

This model maximizes burn time through the use of a large combustion chamber and upper loading door. Precise burn time depends on the type of wood you use. See page 10 of the manual ( http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1282680553074/37973_PROD_FILE.pdf ) for more information.
