    I have 75 feet of base board is this the right size?
    would propane be a better choice for a heating system?

      A:

      Standard baseboards operating with 180°F fluid typically emit 600 BTUs per linear foot, so this unit may be too large. The only way to calculate a precise BTU requirement would be to perform a heat loss calculation. Propane and oil can both fire the boiler that heats your house. We would recommend that you base any decision between the two on their respective rates in your area.
