I will be buying this again

Comments about Model 22, 20" x 48" Hydronic Panel Radiator:

I use this unit to heat my kids play room, I went with a larger unit than recommended so it would also heat the rest of the cellar, works great heats all rooms. The only thing I wish was better was the mounting brackets. I wish they would lock down on the unit so if it was hit on the side it would stay in place.

Comments about Model 22, 24" x 48" Hydronic Panel Radiator:

I now have 4 of these radiators. They generate heat even when my boiler is cooling down. The finish looks great and they were easy to install.

I will be buying more of these in the future as my remodel continues

Great Radiator, Bad Documentation

By Pex House

from Ash Grove MO

Verified Buyer

Comments about Model 22, 24" x 48" Hydronic Panel Radiator:

We purchased 1 of these to check it out. I have 2 more on order now. We ordered the angle valve and 1/2 pex compression fittings.

The good:
*Great looking
*Easy to mount to wall
*Simple plumbing connection

The not so good:
Terrible documentation. Considering that Pex Supply makes great videos, I would suggest that they create their own documentation based on an actual installation and provide it to the customers. Certain aspects of the radiator were not even mentioned in the instructions. For example, on one side of the radiator, at the top are two sliding tabs. Why these are there is unknown. Even Buderus tech support could not tell me. Also, reversing the unit, so that the tstat is on the left, was not covered.
*The top grid is held on with plastic tabs. They look cheap.
*Order early- Between the factory order and shipping via freight, it takes a while for delivery.

Comments about Model 22, 20" x 71" Hydronic Panel Radiator:

I ordered late, PEX worked with me to solve a space and btu problem in my kitchen this radiator will solve both. Won't install until next year as I have to remove baseboard heaters and build the wall out. To cold now to take the system down for a few days.

where are the supply and return lines located on this model
Asked on 6/20/2014 by buzz from central ny

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Buderus panel radiators have piping connections located at the bottom of the
panel which minimizes the exposed distribution piping creating a more attractive
room appearance. The radiators can be piped as a standard 2-pipe (supply/return)
system, on a monoflow-loop, or as a one-pipe series-loop by installing an optional
      diverting valve

  • Model 22, 20" x 48" Hydronic Panel Radiator

    Q:

Does this include everything I need to connect to my 3/4" copper stub? (i.e the R20 to 3/4 copper pipe fittings)
Asked on 9/7/2013 by Geoff from United States

    1 answer

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

You have to buy the adaptors. If your stub out is coming from the wall, then
will want to get the R20's that are on a 90 degree angle. Also, you can't
hook up these panels directly to the flow of the loop. You have to use a
mono-flow T system, so some of the water pressure bypasses the radiator and
some goes through it. If don't do it this way, the water flow noise will be
so loud you won't be able stand it. Oh, also if you need to get this job
done in a timely manner, forget about it, expect long waiting (2-3months
once)on ordering these panels from Pexsupply.
