Amazingly easy to connect water supply to sink and dishwasher for a new island. Just follow easy video instructions at Sharkbite website. Hookup took less than 5 minutes for each fixture.

Most plumbers will say these push fittings are only for temporary work, but I noticed my sister has one on her professionally installed gas water heater. I have used them extensively for both hot and cold water connections. I have everything from 1 1/4" to 3/8" connections and although they are expensive, I can put the pipes together temporarily and then move them if the plumbing is reconfigured. That was espectially handy when plping for the boiler system and our supplementary wood burning boiler system. I have a plethora of styles including pressure regulators and valves. They all work great--while competitor push fittings have failed over time. Great product, easily used and reused. Although it is much easier to remove them if the pressure is out of the pipe that is being disassembled.

a perfect solution where soldering is almost impossible in those hard to reach places.
push fit makes pipe connections a breeze.
                                a must have.

in my experience there is usually enough "play" in the pipe so you may not
have to take any "out". If you need to take some some out and you don't
have any play, you wont be able to get this in-line anyway. If you can,
remove about 1" of pipe and try to fit.
