I used the copper cross and a copper "T" to build the antenna found in the article on the web page,[@] you can see I used different parts to achieve the same results... Antenna works great! I built four of them, phased them together, and I am using them on the 147.32 repeater in Stevensville with excellent results...

If you need a 4 way connector, this is about your only choice. However it is very rough cast, and not completely finished inside either. Since I would be using this for a display rack, appearance is rather important to me, and I prefer to keep everything copper. They do appear quite sturdy, and if I were using it for plumbing, I'd not hesitate to recommend it.

Just what I needed - great customer service

By Ramsker

Comments about 3/4" Wrot Copper Cross:

Was exactly what I needed to set up my main house line for a water softener and a re-route of a sprinkler line (to not soften that water). A cross was much more preferable to using multiple "T's". I would have thought these would be in any hardware store . . . but apparently they are pretty scarce. Ordered a couple and they arrived quickly and worked perfectly.

I'll note that Supply House has great CS. I had ordered several other things and one of the cross fittings was damaged/bent on arrival. I emailed and they very quickly sent a replacement to me. That was great.

Comments about 3/4" Wrot Copper Cross:

Did not have a lot of room on installing a water heater under a set of stairs. Need a cold water feed to heater, a vacuum breaker, and the cold to a mixing valve.

Easily soldered

Comments about 1" Cast Copper Cross (Lead Free):

I was not sure this would work for my purpose because I was having to solder soft copper to it. I was surprised to find it fitted no differently than the softer copper fittings.

Just the fitting I needed

Comments about 3/4" Wrot Copper Cross:

I am using these to connect 2 tetrahedron pyramids together to form a Star Tetrahedron (Merkaba). 6 cross connections were required. I was originally fabricating copper pipe to make these, but the solder joint was not holding up like the star points I fabricated (8 star points & 48 cuts on table saw). I cut the pipe & a friend soldered them for me. I like the fact that these crosses look and feel the same as the copper I am using. Wish I had found these before fabricating the crosses from copper pipe.

COPPER PIPE SHORTWAVE ANTENNA

By JOE

Comments about 1" Cast Copper Cross:

I USED THIS 1 INCH CAST COPPER CROSS FOR THE CENTER PIECE OF A COPPER PIPE ANTENNA. 6 GAUGE INSULATED - STRANDED COPPER WIRE WAS PULLED THROUGH "T" CONNECTOR END CAPS OF PIPES TO FORM A LOOP. OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE RESULTS. CAMERA TRIPOD WAS USED FOR THE LOWER PART.
THE CAST COPPER CROSS IS A HIGH QUALITY PIECE OF WORKMANSHIP IN ITS OWN RIGHT.

Good Product, Not Cast Copper like Pic

Comments about 3/4" Wrot Copper Cross:

The picture implies cast copper, the fitting is actually wrought like description - read it closely if you are seeking a cast copper fitting.

  • 3/4" Cast Copper Cross

    Q:

What is the inner diameter of the cross? Will this fit the 5/8 tube size which has inner diameter of 3/4"?
    Asked on 6/20/2012 by sd

    2 answers

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

This seems unlikely. The cast copper cross fitting is intended to have
all thicknesses of copper tubing fit inside the cross since they all
have the same size _outside _diameter. The inner diameter of a 5/8"
      tube is irrelevant.

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

According to the manufacturer, no, it will fit a 3/4" water tube size.

    CUSTOMER CARE
A: Part H060750 is 3/4" male sweat (goes into a 3/4" copper fitting).

1/2" PEX x 1/2" Copper Fitting Brass Adapter
    SKU:H060500

Is this what to use to sweat into a copper fitting such as the cross?

And are there any valves which can do this such as the "1/2" PEX x 1/2" Sweat Ball Valve SKU:H250500"?
    Asked on 3/5/2012 by Anonymous

    3 answers

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Copper fitting adapters fit inside copper fittings, such as this cross. Such adapters have the same diameters as copper pipe, which would also fit inside this cross. Part H060500 would be the part to use if you want to connect 1/2" PEX to the CP35-08 cross via a crimp or clamp connection.

Answered on 3/6/2012 by PexSupply Staff from NY
    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

Fitting adapters are male style and fit into the respective pipe size
fittings. Make sure you have a fitting adapter and not Pex X copper
adapter, which would fit copper pipe nominal size.
      The answer is yes.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

A: yes you can sweat a male pex copper fitting brass adapter to a cross same
size, if this is what you want. You can sweat SKU H250500 to any female 1/2"
copper or brass fitting. Both SKU H060500 and SKU H250500 have male copper
fitting ends that fit inside female copper or brass fittings of the same
dimension. Remove the plastic valve lever on the valve before sweating.
