Looking for 1" copper pipe fittings that didnt break the bank. For the small job I had to hook up my water conditioning system myself, these fit the bill. High quality copper and fast shipping were a big plus.

      A:

      Hi,
Yes, the threaded end is 1" NPT female thread, and the other end will
      solder onto 3/4" copper pipe.
Specifically, I used these to adapt 3/4" copper pipe to 1" PVC for a water
softener installation. The setup has been in place for 2 years now and is
      working flawlessly.
      Hope this helps!

      A:

Yes. As stated: 3/4" (Copper) x 1" (Female Adapter) the 1" would be the
      female threaded end.

  • 1/2" Copper x Female Adapter

    Q:

is the female thread 1/4 or 3/8 on these?
Asked on 9/26/2012 by Rossco from United States

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

Neither! The female threaded end is 1/2" pipe thread. The 1/2" is a nominal size, you'll find it measures a little larger than 0.5", and it's tapered so it tightens up as it's threaded onto a matching male pipe threaded fitting. With pipe thread joint compound (pipe dope) and proper tightening, it'll hold high pressure. There's lots more detailed info available, search for "pipe threads" on the internet. BTW, the other end of that fitting is designed to be soldered onto a matching male 1/2" solder fitting, and its size is also a "nominal" 1/2", not 0.5".

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

Typically when a fitting is listed with only one measurement, the threaded portion is the same diameter as the listed diameter, so in this case, it would be a 1/2" female National Pipe Thread (NPT).

1/2" ct to 1/2" iron pipe. The treads are 1/2" pipe.

It is neither, the female thread is ½” NPT. It is intended to interface
between ½” copper and ½” threaded pipe (steel, brass, PVC)

There is no single fitting that can accomplish this, but you could use part WP3-16-08 along with TB12-08-04.

  • 1/2" Copper x Female Adapter

    Q:

With these copper x female adapters, is the listed size (1/2", 3/8", etc) the ID or the OD?
    Asked on 4/13/2011 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The listed size is the nominal size. It is neither the ID nor the OD. The nominal size is the size of the copper pipe that will fit inside the adapter. A 1/2" copper pipe will fit inside a 1/2" C x F adapter, for example.
