Q:What is the over all length of this fitting, I'm interested in using it to thread a temp. probe into and solder this into a 1" "T"
A:The WP3-2-16-12 adapter measures 1-3/8" in total length.
Q:I need 3/4 adapter with GHT female thread. Is this the right part to use? If not, what part do I need? I'm connecting inlets of the solar water heater manifolds (3/4 garden hose thread, male) to 3/4 copper pipes L-type.
A:We do not carry any copper fittings that have garden hose thread. We would recommend using a garden hose x NPT threaded adapter to connect to a fitting like this one. Also not that this particular fitting, like all FTG fittings, goes inside of a copper pipe adapter (not over copper pipe).

A:This adapter is made to fit inside of a normal fitting boss. It is the same exterior diameter as the nominal pipe diameter. The exterior diameter of the copper pipe is the same regardless of type. It is only the interior pipe diameter that changes. This fitting will neither fit the inside or the outside of the pipe. It is intended to fit inside a fitting. If you want to attach it directly to the end of a pipe, use a normal 1" x Female adapter, not a street/ftg adapter.
A:Tubing is sized by outside diameter. All three types will have the same
