Q:can the straight radiator valve be installed in the vertical position on a low pressure steam system
A:Yes it can.
Q:What is actually included in the package? Thermostat, valve that is controlled by the thermostat, pipe as shown with plastic handle that can be threaded to the radiator and supply pipe? What else is missing to turn this into a fully functioning control where there is no existing valve? How is this different from Armstrong's $19.95 RV-4 (http://www.armstronginternational.com/thermostatic-valves-rv-4-straight-angle)? How much would a fully functioning thermostat plus actuator and pipe section cost?
A:just the valve, yes it can. 013G8562, I dont have any specs on the Armstrong unit.
Q:When it gets hots, does it choke the flow?
A:Correct. As you are reaching your desired temperature the unit will begin to close.
A:No, the actuator is not included.
