Quieter operation and a longer life motor equals NO call backs.

  • LED's to Show Damper Operation
  • Low Leakage
  • Simple 3-wire Hook-up

    Sturdy construction

Comments about 10" x 16" ND Motorized Damper:

This damper appears to be sturdily constructed. The vane shafts ride in nylon bearings and it operates very smoothly. I installed it to be driven by a Honeywell TrueZONE HZ432K Panel Kit and it's working very well.

Comments about 10" x 16" ND Motorized Damper:

The product installed easily and worked just fine. The picture does not reflect the actual product which could affect installation. The motor is located on the bottom of the damper (and the louvers are vertical).

Installation was simple with only minor duct modification. New damper was more robust than the original one installed by OEM. Saved hundreds of $$$ using PexSupply.com - Thank you.

Comments about 8" x 18" ND Motorized Damper:

I too replaced an older style EWC model. This new one is much sturdier and solid. The previous models blades seemed very flimsy when compared to this one. Easy install.

    Great product, super price

Comments about 8" x 18" ND Motorized Damper:

This motorized damper was a very difficult part to find, but I am sure glad I found Pexsupply. I almost gave up and would have had to pay an HVAC person to install it. They were charging twice what I bought it here for. I would then be stuck paying them to install it also. It is very easy to install. I just had to cut some duct. I saved a lot of $. Pexsupply had it and at a very good price.[...] After installing it, I found that another motorized damper wasn't working, so I purchased another (different size). Thanks Pexsupply & EWC!

    Much Better

Comments about 8" x 14" ND Motorized Damper:

Used it to replace the old style EWC dampers. It is a more sturdy product. It fits the duct work much better and the vanes close more completely. Air flow to an opened / closed zone is much more efficient.

How long does it take this damper to go from full closed to full open?

        A:

Damper's motor MA-ND5, which is a standard motor for this type of
dampers, makes full open or close cycle (90 degrees) for 35 seconds. The
time is independent from load. For more specifications of the motor see
        attached file.

From the picture it looks like the dimensions are 8" Height X 16" Wide and the motor is mounted on the 8" dimension. Is that correct?

        A:

According to the manufacturer that is a 16" X 8" motor is always mounted on the 2nd dimension
a 8" X 16" will have the motor installed on the 16" side.

        A:

No. Here is a quote from the manufacturer: The motor will be mounted
on the second dimension when ordered. In your case, it is 16". The
picture is a generic image for all dampers regardless of size and
        orientation.

Yes, that is correct. The motor is on the 8" side of the unit.

I'm just a home owner and its been a while since I ordered but from what I can remember, the motor is mounted on the side of the first number. So 8x16 would be on the 8" side. 16x8 would be on the 16" side.
        Hope that helps.

The motor is always mounted to the second dimension specified. This picture
is not accurate but the description is and it states that the motor is
mounted to the second dimension side so it's on the 16" side.

On website it's how you order it dimension wise. From the picture it looks 8"h by 16"w with motor on 8" side. If you order 16"h by 8"w it's on 16" side. It says somewhere on there. -----Original Message-----

The damper is powered in both directions and the motor only runs until the
desired position (open or close) is reached. The motor comes with 3-wire
connections : neutral, open (power) and close(power)

        A:

This damper requires power to open and power to close. It will not
move without power in any direction. The motor has three terminals:
common wire, to open, to close. The damper operates 24 VAC.
