    Q:

Will the Eemax tankless electric water heaters(model ss023240TC) work with a pressure tank system?
Asked on 8/15/2012 by Bone from Sturgeon Lake Mn.

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

It is going to depend on how much pressure that will be able to be maintained in this system while in operation. While the water is at full flow, at least 40 psi would need to be maintained in the system. (The listed minimum is 35psi, but it is recommended to maintain the system slightly higher to add a little cushion to allow a steady flow.) Any less will greatly increase the likelihood of elements dry firing in the chambers. That will result in burned elements and service issues.

If you can keep the pressure higher than that, this unit will be a good fit for flow rates between 2-3 GPM.
