Comments about FKD Series Round Inline Mixed Flow Centrifugal Fan, 10" Duct (910 CFM):

I installed this blower directly followng a Fantech 10 inch silencer in my custom range hood system. For a DIY installer it was a little tricky to provide an anjustable, yet acoustically isolated, mounting mechanism for this unit so it could be aligned with the silencer. However the use of nylon webbing and turn-buckles did the job. I wanted to directly couple the the blower to the abutting duct work, but opted to use Fantech clamps (FC 10) instead. These clamps allow the blower to be mechanically isolated from the abutting duct work and help to reduce overal noise. When used with the silencer, it is impossible to hear any noise from this blower.

Does this come with all mounting hardware, or is just the fan? Do you sell the anti-vibration mounts?

The fan comes with the 2 mounting brackets that are attached to the fan. It does not include mounting hardware. The manufacturer no longer offers vibration mounts.

          Q:

I want to pair this with a down draft kitchen exhaust. The Kitchen Aide exhaust sticker states: "1.8A max recommended remote blower rating." Can I use this fan with this down draft?

            A:

The FKD10 is rated at 3.01 max Amps, so you would have to use an auxiliary speed control or replace the existing speed control.
