Comments about FR Series Round Inline Exhaust Fan, 8" Duct (429 CFM):

I installed the 6" version of this fan in my home about 10 years ago and consider it one of the best upgrades I have made. It is virtually silent, just a little whooshing sound as the air is sucked through the grill because the fan is located twenty feet away from the baths.
I hate the annoying racket of conventional "fart fans" and was reluctant to use them because of the noise.
I only needed to vent two baths so the six inch is sufficient. I have it wired to 2 timers, one in each bath, so it runs during a shower and for about ten minutes afterward. It evacuates the humid air so efficiently even in the winter months there is no steam on the mirror.
I bought the 8" for a customer who was having mold problems caused by poor ventilation in three bathrooms. I have the motor wired to motion activated switches (available at any home center like Home Depot, Lowes, or Ace Hardware) so the fan comes on when any of the three baths is entered and runs for about ten minuted after there is no more motion detected. This way there is no conscience effort required by residents or guests, the fan comes on and removes humid (or noxious) air and goes off automatically.
An Excellent Product!!!
