Comments about MGE Series Adjustable Metal Exhaust Grille w/ Metal Mounting Collar for 4" Duct:

I was installing a custom 4 inch inline fan in a bathroom fully tiled (ceiling included). the space was small which didn't allow me a conventional exhaust fan. So I had to find a finish grille.
My customer was very pleased and me too.
I liked the rubber gasket to seal of the inside edge from moisture getting in on the outside of the pipe.
I liked the heavy powder paint on the grille.
And I liked the ability to adjust the air flow in the cover.

Comments about MGE Series Adjustable Metal Exhaust Grille w/ Metal Mounting Collar for 4" Duct:

Didn't need the included collars. These popped right into the ducts I had installed. Look and perform as described. The center of the grille was bent on all the grilles I received. It was easy enough to bend them so it was centered in the grille. Did not effect the performance.

I had recently purchased a larger size of the same design for another project, and came back due to the quality. I used two of the 4" adjustable MGE grilles in my attic to allow our home's skylight shaft to expel the heat in the summer and retain it during the winter. Adjustment option allows me to open and close the grilles from within the attic, which would otherwise be impossible (or painful) from the 3-story high skylight shaft.

Installed this MGE exhaust grill in my basement to replace an aging, industrial-style ceiling register. The fitmet was perfect, and the duct attachment made it easy to install without even needing to drill and attaching the metal duct collar with the provided screws. Easily screws closed or open from the grill face.

Comments about MGE Series Adjustable Metal Exhaust Grille w/ Metal Mounting Collar for 8" Duct:

My second time around trying to finish up an external exhaust project for a smoking room. This worked perfectly for me. I had it on before my installer even came by to finish the trim for me. Only problem I found, and I think it's due to the high velocity of the centrifugal fan I am using, when its on high and the grill is adjusted very close inward it whistles. On this model a plate rotates inward and outward to maximize or minimize the opening and on high you can hear a whistling. It's quite O.K. with me, for all the rest of the time and with the fan on a lower setting, it performs great and the price for two pieces: the collar and grill, is a dream.
