Comments about PB110 Premium Bath Fan (Single Grille), Uses 4" Duct (Vent Only):

I've had this fan installed for a few weeks now and like it. I ran it with rigid duct, which should maximize performance, but makes it a bit noisy. Installation was easier than I thought. My fan kit was missing the brackets that install the box containing the ceiling grille to the joists. I ended up just spray foaming that box in place, which seems very solid.

Works very well in our small bathroom. All you hear is the sound of moving air, no motor sound at all. Overall not louder than a running faucet.

Gets rid of most of the moisture while showering, no more fogged up mirror. However a little bit still remains on the ceilling, I should have paid more for one model up.

Installed in a small bathroom. Was easy to install. Very quiet and works as advertised. PexSupply price was the best I could find and the order arrived promply. One thing that bothered me was the grill housing has many unused holes in it that would draw in attic air, I spent some time taping over these unused holes. Maybe Fantech could tape over these during manufacturing.

The installation was straight forward, and as far as performance, the noise is nearly imperceptible and it does a good job exhausting a small bath. I couldn't be more pleased. The only drawback, if any, is that the diagrams for installation could have been more descriptive. All in all however, it is a great product!

This has to be the quietest fan I have ever, not heard. Relativly easy to install. The trim looks great. I wound up using radiator clamps to hold the ducting to the fan housing. I didn't trust tape or tywraps due to the fact the outlets seemed a little too short to get a good grip. I would suggest they either increase the oulet length or recommend a screw type clamp.

I just installed this fan in our master bath and it works beautifully; best of all it is super quiet, I barely know it is on. Just don't forget to order the 4" insulated ducting like I did. I also used an extra fiberglass bat that I had left over to wrap it in, as it is installed in my attic.

Bathroom install was fairly straightforward in my 60 yr old house. Does not have the buzz and rattles my old Braun fan/light did. Near whisper quiet. You will need good access above the ceiling such as an attic for a proper install as it is recommended that the fan be placed some distance from the grill box. Horizontal mounting of the fan requires insulating the fan housing. Would be good to have an insulating jacket as an option. Used fiberglass and foil covering from flexible duct to wrap fan.
                          Happy with purchase.

The product I purchased was a Fantech PB110 Premium Bath Fan comprising a remotely mounted fan housing connected to a passive inlet vent mounted in the ceiling of my bathroom. Remote fans of this type are quiet, efficient and, in my case, easy to service since I have access to the fan unit in my attic. The Fantech unit sold by PexSupply.com was reasonably priced [...] I will buy from PexSupply.com again, when the need arises!

I think you can use any timer switch as long as it is rated for the HP of the motor. That is what I was told. there are a couple of nice pushbutton timers in the decora style which I just purchased.

You would not need to use a Fantech-brand switch. Any line voltage switch would work with it.

I just used the old light switch that controlled my old fan when I installed my PB110 ... But I plan on installing a timer switch at some point as I think it just makes sense. You want the fan to run for a while after you have left the bathroom and this fan is so quiet you may forget that it is on.
