              Comments about UP10-16BN5/LC, 115V Pump:

Basic, low wattage pump. Using with an 80 gal water heater, outdoor furnace, flat plate heat exchanger, and Mixing valve. Recircs the tank water through the heat exchanger for one hour every 6 hours. Keeps the tank (water) hot. Uses next to no electricity. Silent operation (The timer makes more noise). Much more effective than a "sidearm" heat exchanger in my opinion (MUCH faster recovery, and can keep up with 3 bathrooms/ Washer/ Dishwasher/ 6 people no problem. 1 year use so far. Grundfos name is well known.

great little low wattage pump. Build a simple hot water circ. with this. Will run all the time with no timer or temp switch.

can water flow through pump, when the pump is not running?

                                    A:

Yes, When the pump is not operating, the hot water line will function as normal however, it will take longer for the hot water to reach the fixtures. When the pump is in operation hot water will be available quickly on demand when a fixture is in use.
