Works great use to replace old L4081B aquastat. No longer needed to prevent circulator from running when water temp drops low. Dont use boiler for Domestic hot water. installed hot water heater

My regular plumber claimed the Aquastat was no longer available and that I would need to replace the boiler. I searched and found PexSupply having the product and at a reasonable price! It was ordered and within a day it had arrived--perfect! Can't recommend PexSupply any higher than that! Fantastic!!!

Comments about High Limit & Circulator Aquastat, 10°F High Limit, 10°F to 25°F Low Limit Adj Differential:

My gas-fired, warm-start, hot-water heating boiler originally had an aquatstat with a simple single-pole switch that controlled only the burner (the cirulator pump was controlled by the wall thermostat). During long heat calls, the boiler temperature could get dragged down close to the 140-deg flue condensation threshold. With this L4081B aquastat, the circulator is stopped when the boiler temp drops below a setpoint, allowing the burner to catch back up before the circulator is restarted. It takes some experimenting to establish the optimum settings, which requires a reasonably accurate boiler temperature gauge.

The probe fits into a standard thermowell. Heat conductive compound (not supplied with the aquastat) should be applied to the probe.
