Comments about 24" Thermocouple with maximum copel:

I usually buy reg. thermocouples but if the thermocouple is hard to change out I will use these .I was told by plumber friend that these will last longer and when I changed out the one on my boiler orig. lasted 11 years. It was a honeywell looked just like this.So for a few bucks more get a honeywell with max copel worth the money!

I have used other brands and they are not as good quality as the Honeywell thermocouple.
                                      The prices are reasonable too.

                                          A:

The answer is yes and no. Some gas fireplaces have regular 24 Volt gas
valves and some come with unusual gas valves that do not use this
thermocouple. Standard gas valves use it. Would need more information in
order to give a better answer.
