When I diagnosed a safety switch issue on my oil furnace I shopped around and found this item for a good price [...]. It was easy to install and had heat with thermostat control within about an hour (a professionaly probably would have only taken about 20 minutes). Works great and love the ability to manually trip the switch to test it - my previous one didn't have that feature.

Best for the price

This product works fine when you get a good one. I had to try two different ones before I got one that worked. However, the next comparable one is way more expensive.

R8184G4009 Honeywell cad cell relay oil burner control

By Sid

Comments about Protectorelay Oil Burner Control with 45 seconds lock out timing:

One week ago, I replaced my old Honeywell primary control with Honeywell model R8184G4009. This new model is exactly same like old model except that it has extra safety switch. The old one I used for 27 years. I hope to use the new one for the same period. Connecting the 3 wires was not difficult for someone who know it. I did not know, so I called a technician. Part delivery was fast. I placed order Friday at 11 AM and got delivered at 12.30 PM Monday.

Comments about Protectorelay Oil Burner Control with 45 seconds lock out timing:

My boiler was firing on and off and we were without heat for several days in winder. At first I ordered the CAD sensor (senses light in burner)thinking that was it and it wasn't. I then replaced the relay and now we're back with heat working again! Fast delivery and great products. They are now in my favorites folder.

Comments about Protectorelay Oil Burner Control with 45 seconds lock out timing:

I like the new status light to tell of a lockout,
and the lockout test switch.
Good replacement for older model which is discontinued.
Installation was easy with direct wiring so no errors can occur or confusion on wiring.
My oil burner started right up with no problems or issues.
