        I am using this controller to monitor the temperature of water in a copper pipe and turn on a heater when the temperature drops below the set point. I have digital temperature monitors, and I used them to calibrate the dial. I found that the dial was accurate to 2 degrees F, which is adequate for my application. However, while the differential is reported to be fixed at 1 degree F, I found that with directional hysteresis, the effective differential is closer to 2.5 or 3 degrees. That is not a problem for me, but users should take the 1 degree value specification as approximate.

        The switch is marked using color code letters (R,B,W) rather than (C,NC,NO) which I found annoying especially since the B and W labels are backwards from what I expected. The schematic was clear, however, and made installation simple.

        This control is very rugged and was easy to mount.
