I used this product together with T775 expansion module, and 1097 strap on sensor to control and stage heating elements for our electric water heater system. It's a great replacement for an old obsolete controller with minor rewire on the control side.

    On a T775P2003, can one Sensor be set to heat and one Sensor to cool function?

      A:

      The modern T775s are not heat/cooling assigned at the sensor; they are assigned at the relay or loop to be controlled. You could control 1 heating relay and 1 cooling relay off the same sensor. That being said, the T775P is a loop controller. The T775P can only control one loop. Once you assign that loop to heating or cooling, it is controlled off sensor A, reset by sensor B, and you can put sensor C somewhere you want to check the temperature but not control. So the end answer for this model is no, in regards to some relays being heating and some cooling.

    On a four spdt controller, can two be set to heat and two to cool function? Based on either clock or reset?

      A:

      Not on the T775P2003 (you can only have one loop). You can do this on two other controllers, T775L2007 and T775B2040. With the T775L2007, you can have two loops (one can be heating and one can be cooling with two relays in each loop). When using the T775B2040, each relay can be set independently for either heating or cooling.
