    I purchased a couple new tp9603A1001 and used as a replacement of older stats. There is a hissing at the stat when turned down to lower temps and when I turn it up to 80 or so it stops but the its calling for heat. I have others that are installed around the building and they do not hiss on lower temps.

      The thermostat(s) could be defective.
