I started using this instead of Prolifix thermostats much easier to use and setup. I now control more than 25 of these for the client that I service

Honeywell instructions aren't perfect but I was able to get everything installed without a hitch. Worked perfectly and with Red Link technology I have control over the thermostat anywhere. Apps for phone and IPad worked without any problems.

  • Q:

I have a home with two thermostats controlling two H/C systems. I'd like to use the remote indoor sensors, one sensor on unit one and three sensors on unit two. Is this possible or will I run into interference issues? Or would both thermostats see all sensors and I would select the ones I would like to use per thermostat?

Also, can I use on of the sensors for my humidity reading or is humidity a separate sensor, ie. dedicated for humidity control?

    Thanks.

      A:

The wireless indoor remote sensor can be used in any number from 1 to 6 sensors per thermostat. If you have two systems you can certainly use the sensors in the amounts you describe.

What should be done is the sensors for each system should be setup each system individually. So the system that the customers wants three (3) sensors on should be completed the signals locked in and then move to the single sensor for the other system. If the signals are locked in as mentioned then there should be no interference between the sensors. The sensors also need to be setup in the installer setup.

The C7189R1004 also senses the relative humidity and should display on the stat under the humidification settings.

  • Q:

Desire to use 3 each Prestige IAQ 2.0 thermostats and 3 each Equipment Interface Modules to operate three heat pump/dual fuel furnace systems/units for 3 different zones of house. Will only one outside air temperature sensor be adequate or will I need a sensor dedicated to each system's thermostat/module, ie 3 total sensors on the outside?

      A:

The C7089R1013 wireless outdoor sensor works with an unlimited number of RedLINK thermostats/devices in its signal range. You would only need one sensor to handle the three thermostats.
