Comments about EConnect Wireless Programmable/Non-Programmable Line Volt Thermostat Kit:

I looked and looked for a solution to remotely control the thermostats to my King forced air wall heaters. Multiple rooms each with its own wall mounted thermostat, some rooms with multiple heaters on the one thermostat. While you can't use this Honeywell product directly on the forced air heaters, I found that by installing high voltage contactors on the heating circuits at the breaker panel, I could use this Honeywell product as a relay to turn the contactors on and off.

I leave the room thermostats set to the normal temperature, then use the Honeywell to app to remotely turn the heat on and off in the whole house when I leave or before I arrive. I still get freeze protection by leaving the Honeywell thermostat in the house, set to 50.

Might not be the perfect or only solution but it's the only one I could find and works pretty well once it's set up.

        LCD thermostat display issues

Comments about EConnect Wireless Programmable/Non-Programmable Line Volt Thermostat Kit:

I was very excited to find this product as it's exactly what I need to control a baseboard heater with a dial thermostat that's not easily accessed.

Wiring it up was fairly easy and the directions provided were quite good and detailed. Everything is color coded and there are little sticky strips to keep the solenoid and send/receive antenna in place when you connect it to the baseboard heater.

However, once I had it all wired up, I was ready to pair the remote solenoid with the LCD thermostat. However, the LCD thermostat panel has a defect and upper half of every digit on the panel is missing. Really hard to walk through the set up steps and to fully operate it when you are guessing what the digit is actually displaying. I did get the whole system to work, but have contacted Honeywell and they have requested that I pull the whole thing apart and send it all back to them for warranty assistance - quite a pain (those sticky strips were quite strong and it was hard to pull the solenoid and antenna off of the baseboard heater). It's all boxed up and ready to go to Honeywell. Hope the replacement works better and is QA'd before sent out to customers.

Really, really like the design and would recommend to a friend.
