Excellent Product

Comments about 3/4" PEX x 3/4" MIP Brass Compression Coupling:

This is the best method I have found to terminate a pex connection. There are no leaks, you can't mess it up installling it and it is removable and re-usable. I have pex compression fittings all over my house for heating and plumbing for many years now without any problems. I look for places to replace my copper plumbing just so that I can use these fittings. I have used traditional crimp type fittings and they are inferior and unreliable by comparison.

  • 3/4" PEX x 3/4" MIP Brass Compression Coupling

    Q:

Will these fittings work to join Wirsbo 3/4" pex to standard female pipe threads? I am looking for a no-tools fitting to make just a couple connections. I tried Sharkbites, but they corroded terribly in my application.

These fittings will do that. They work with any standard 3/4" PEX tubing and they have standard male 3/4" threads.

      Yep it'll work.
      My best,

      which worked out pretty nice);

These will connect PEX to FIP just as you want. But they're not tool-less,
you'll need a wrench to tighten the compression fitting over the PEX.

      A:

I used the compression fittings to install 1/2 inch pex hot and cold
plumbing in my summer place. (Replacing pvc that had been damaged by
vandalism.) The advantage is that no special tools are needed, and the
tubing can be disconnected and reconnected if you need to rearrange
things or to get the tubing out of the way for other work. These
fittings worked very well for me, however, I think the brass is the same
as used in Sharkbite fittings so if it was the brass that corroded then
compression fittings won't help. The compression fittings are more
robust, and don't have the thin "shark teeth" that hold the tubing in,
so they may be better for your application.

Yes, these will work for that purpose. I used them to make temporary PVC/PEX manifolds during construction to verify system integrity. Of course you will need box or line wrenches, but no specialty tools.
      Good luck!
