I used this to run 1/2" pex through floor joists and up through the floor to fixtures.VERY handy. [...] My one gripe is that it does take a bit of wrangling to get the pex not to pop out while you're working it into the bend support. But not a huge deal. I'd buy again for sure.

I bought these because they had the mounting holes, but they wouldn't hold the pipe in. I'm new to pex so maybe I didn't do it right, but I worked and worked, and bent the piping over and over and it never held it in. It occasionally would hold one but then I'd bump it and it would pop right back out. It seems strong enough, but there isnt enough wrap around to hold it.

Won't grip tubing

Comments about 3/4" Plastic Bend Support:

This bend support won't grip the tubing. The tubing will pop out of the support unless you use duct tape ... very inconvenient.

Comments about 1/2" Plastic Bend Support:

Bought a bunch of these to use and when I tried to use them they would not hold a 90 degree angle. If you want a 90 degree angle so not purchase these

The only way to get these to stay on the pipe is with duct tape.

Perhaps metal is better.

Comments about 1/2" Plastic Bend Support:

I bought the supports to use in a 2x4 wall at a "T" intersection. Simple to get the tubing in the support but found that the supports gradually lost some shape due to pressure from the tubing. In the end, I did not use the supports. Instead I "trained" the tubing for the bend I needed. In another application the plastic tubing might work just fine.

      It's a 90 degree fixed bend

      A:

The bend radius is the inside curvature of the Pex tubing . Being the most you can bent before it kinks.

It doesn't look like it in the picture... so I checked a spare and it's 90 degrees. In think you can use two together to make 180°.

Bend radius is how far you can bend the tubing until it folds. I wouldn't
bend it any farther than the bend support does for you below. I bought a
bunch of these and never used them. It's only useful in really tight spots.
Generally speaking, you're betting off not using these things unless you
really need a 90 angle. In most places, it won't be necessary. The beauty of
PEX is it can be bent in any direct up to about 90 degrees.

Yes, they're 90 degree bend supports, basically enabling pex to be bent safely without kinks.
