I use this product to get the condensate AC water out of my basement. This system is SUPER EASY to hook up and is pretty much no fuss after that. Easily pumps 8 to 16 gallons of water a day here in the hot, humid, mid-atlantic summer. I pump to an outside holding tank and then I use the water on flowers and vegetables. I am planning on buying another one of these units to hook to my basement dehumidifier, that way I can have even more water saved for my garden. (note: AC condensate IS NOT drinking water, but fine for plants or washing a car)

I am using this little Giant pump on a modern forced air furnace. The pump is simple and easy to install.
Unfortunately I have become quite familiar with the inner workings of this devise, mainly the float/switch assembly.
The activating switch worked for 5 weeks then failed on my first pump. installed a new pump ( warranty ), switch failed with in 14 months. replaced switch with new. another switch failed.I should have purchased a different brand long ago.

Comments about VCMA-15UL, 65 GPH Automatic Condensate Removal Pump:

Needed a replacement condensation pump for my Trane Furnace. PexSupply had the exact replacement. Great price, better than paying full price at Furnace dealer. Was shipped quickly and on my door step in three days. Packaged very well and shipped in a separate box. Installed new unit and was working in five minutes.

Would order from them again.

Comments about VCMA-15UL, 65 GPH Automatic Condensate Removal Pump:

Our heat pump used to overload our septic tank each summer with the amount of water it put down the drain. We were having to capture the water in a tray and then use a submersible pump to manually empty the tray two or three times a day. This pump was connected quickly and easily to the heat pump drain and provides complete peace of mind: No more "Did you drain the A/C tray?" around our house!

Comments about VCMA-15UL, 65 GPH Automatic Condensate Removal Pump:

I had a furnace replaced 6 years ago aon one of these pumps was installed. After talking with the manufacturer, the switch life is about 6 years. However, trying to get a replacement swithc is like pulling teeth, not easy. So I purchased a new pump from Pex. Their service was outstanding. Shipped the same day and recieved in a couple days. Pex is in New York and I'm in Michigan. I would buy from Pex again in a second.

Did Not Work At First

Comments about VCMA-15UL, 65 GPH Automatic Condensate Removal Pump:

Not many places I could find this pump to replace my existing one. Easy to hook up, but did not work when first used. The float would not activate the pump, but I worked with it and finally got the float switch working. Runs good when water level rises to trip float now.

Comments about VCMA-15UL, 65 GPH Automatic Condensate Removal Pump:

I use the pump for dual purpose, for the condensate pump for the furnace and hooked to my dehumidifier to save trips up and down the basement stairs works great.
One problem is the float switch goes bad too soon.
Other than the switch it works great for what I need.

Is it hard to replace this pump, can I do it myself or do I have to hire a professional

      A:

I guess the difficulty of replacement depends on where your current pump is. Mine is used to catch the excess water from my furnace humidifier, which it then pumps over my basement washbasin; it’s mounted externally to my furnace just with two screws and takes only seconds to replace (assuming I keep the existing tubing into and out of the old one).

We would recommend that you start by ensuring that the unit and its lines are not clogged at all.
