Bailed Me Out of a Tight Spot!

Comments about RFSN-9, Piggyback Remote Float Switch:

When the sixth or seventh switch failed on my 15 year old 1 HP sump pump, I was chagrined that the company was out of business! At [...] I found a cheapy "piggyback" switch but got worried when I reads on-line reviews that showed that switch had poor reliability ratings. So I searched and found this switch with a rating that matches my pump. I've only had it in a few weeks, but so far it is great. Easy to install and a cord long enough to reach just about anywhere you'd want!

Does this switch turn the pump on when the float is up (tank is full) and turn the pump off after the water level is lowered?

Unit has integral plug/socket with 115vac style plug. Switch turns socket
side on when floats up. I use it on a sump pump that had 3 failed float
switches in 5 years. I rigged the built in float always on and plugged sump
pump into this switch's integral socket. Plenty of good quality cord
allowing me to attach to pump in place of old float switch. Used one of
these for five years without a problem and replaced it just to be safe.
Plan on doing that every five years. (My pump cycles a lot when it is wet
      ouside. I figure 5 years = about 10,000 cycles. )
