This category features several models of Maxitrol Gas Regulators including poppet style gas regulators, straight through regulators, and lever acting Maxitrol regulators. These Maxitrol regulators vary by size, BTU output, and style.
The poppet model RV Series is designed primarily for main burner and pilot load applications. Typical applications include residential and commercial cooking appliances, hearth products, pilot lines, and residential water heaters. They are rated for up to 1/2 psi (35 mbar). These models are suitable for natural, manufactured, mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases and LP gas-air mixtures.
Maxitrol’s original straight-thru-flow design regulators are main burner only, non-lockup type. Typical applications include residential, commercial, and industrial gas-fired appliances and the equipment's used on low and medium pressure gas supply. They are suitable for natural, manufactured, mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases and LP gas-air mixtures.
325 Series regulators are for 2 psi and 5 psi piping systems. Models are available for appliance main burner or pilot applications and as line pressure regulators. They are suitable for natural, manufactured, mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases and LP gas-air mixtures.
The 210 series is a lock-up type regulator and complies with codes using this specification.

The 210 series has been designed for maximum control function in an easy to use package. The series is intended for use with gas-fired boilers, steam generators, industrial furnaces, ovens, and similar high demand equipment.

The balanced valve design eliminates the inlet pressure effect acting on the valve. Regulating stability is improved and hunting tendencies reduced by the use of dampening mechanisms in both the breather outlet and sensing tube. You get precise regulation over a broad range of pressures and flow rates with the 210 series, including a “zero governor” application.
Zero Governor regulators are used for flow control of burners, nozzle mixers, mixing tees, and proportional pre-mixers. They are suitable for natural, manufactured, mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases and LP gas-air mixtures.
This section includes replacement parts for Maxitrol gas regulators.
Maxitrol's Selectra systems can be used in direct and indirect fired gas applications. Selectra's unique electronic Modulator or Modulator-Regulator valves control gas flow with instantaneous response and continual adjustment. They are the superior alternative to modulator motors and butterfly valves.
The 210 series is a lock-up type regulator and complies with codes using the specification. The 210 series has been designed for maximum control functions in an easy-to-use package for gas-fired boilers, steam generators, industrial furnaces, ovens and similar high demand equipment. Balanced valve design eliminates the inlet pressure effect acting on the valve. Regulating stability is improved and hunting tendencies reduced by the use of dampening mechanisms in both the breather outlet and sensing tube. You get precise regulation over a broad range of pressures and flow rates with a Maxitrol 210, including “zero governor” application. The 220 series, utilizing a servo-operated design rather than the more conventional spring-loaded design, delivers higher outlet pressure than the spring loaded models. The main diaphragm on the Maxitrol 220 is loaded with gas pressure rather than with a spring. This gas pressure is precisely controlled by a small pilot regulator in the upper housing. When the regulated outlet pressure of the pilot regulator is changed, by spring adjustment, the outlet pressure of the main regulator will change proportionately.
Gas and air filters protect downstream controls from particulate contamination. Maxitrol filters are suitable for application in natural, manufactured, mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases and LP gas air mixture piping systems. Housing's are made of durable cast aluminum and filter matting consists of polypropylene impregnated fleece. Unique filter matting effectively separates dust. The matting has an extremely high capacity for accumulated dust due to its wide filtering surface and depth effect. The filter housing's compact size allows for easy original equipment installation and retrofitting.
The SR Series provides an economical means of flame staging where infinite modulation is not required. This is an ideal replacement for dual manifold systems, 2-stage regulator valves combine gas pressure regulating and flame staging in a single unit. Applications include direct-fired heaters with two-speed fans, high to low controls for door heaters, natural gas switchover, and industrial processing.

In the SR400, SR500 & SR600 group, energization of the solenoid unloads the maximum adjustment spring and resets the outlet pressure to its minimum setting. Since both high and low stages are adjustable, the degree of staging can be easily altered by simple spring adjustments. No complicated orifice changes are required. These models are CSA design certified for maximum inlet pressure of 1/2 psi and capacities up to 600,000 BTU.
