Description for Mcdonnell & Miller 169550

Overview

McDonnell & Miller Universal Water Feeders are ideal for use in residential or small commercial applications. Versatile and compact, they are easily installed to operate with either a probe- or float-type low water cut-off. The feeders are always ready to add water when given the signal from the LWCO - no need to manually add water. And they protect the boiler from a dry fire condition by maintaining a safe minimum water level in the boiler should a system leak occur. They monitor the water level, maintaining a safe minimum and allow the boiler water line to rise and fall naturally through its normal operating range.

Features

  • Multi-color LED
  • Four position on/off dip switch
  • Water supply pressures to 150 psi; boiler pressures to 15 psi
  • 3/8" NPT connection

Comments about WFE-24V, Uni-Match Universal Water Feeder (24V):

Installed extremely easy. Just a little complicated to figure out proper setting for the dip switch inside (dwell and gallons per minute) so I just set it for the LWCO part number that instructions said to do. Maybe more LWCO numbers could be given in future instructions.

The manual was no help in wiring it to my boiler. Which is fine in it self. I only give it a 4 because, you can NOT set the "time" it open in feeding the boiler. You must change the washers, which is hard to do AFTER it is installed.

My Uni-Match Water Feeder is allowing too much water. Is it adjustable? I need less water added when the auto feed comes on.

the fill valve itself shouldn't be loud, your probably hearing the water going thru the piping, which is normal.

That depends on the voltage that can be supplied to the LWCO.
