I'm a plumbing contractor and appreciate great tools that help get the job done. I was a little skeptical due to the small size and light weight of the M12. But as soon as I started using it, I was impressed by it's speed and power. Next was to determine how long the battery was going to last. Batteries last reasonably long enough on 1/2" and 3/4" and OK on 1" which is way better than I anticipated due to the small size of the battery.

This tool is typical of Milwaukee's high standard of engineering and quality. I did notice that there are larger batteries available for this tool which is nice to know in case I feel the need for longer lasting power on a really large job. The auto rotating heads are so convenient. In short, I love this tool and can't say enough good about it! But most importantly, it gets the job done quickly and easily AND there have been no leaks.

Comments about M12 ProPEX Expansion Tool Kit:

This is being used to repair Upon or PEX pipe my FORMER plumbers installed in my gypcrete floor. The plumber stapled down several "floaters" and didn't hold the staple gun down and flat to the PEX pipe puncturing it in several places throughout the newly poured floor. So it worked like a champ ! Totally satisfied with it !

This tool is a bit pricey, but the ease of use and speed that I could attach fittings was well worth it. I repiped my home, and it went very smooth and quick. I have even started helping friends and family out with their repipe projects as well, just to get a bit more use out of the tool. Compared to what plumbers were quoting me, I still saved several hundred dollars.

Worked great for adding a water softener and RO system to my existing water system. The only issue I ran into was when I was running low on lubrication. The expander would get stuck open, making it very hard to get the expansion ring off.

This tool is exceptional in it performance. As I need both the 1/2 and 3/4 inch option, I opt to purchase the entire set. Worked as advertised. Value wise it was a little more then the two handed pump type expander but was more user friendly. I weigh out the convince verses the cost with the Milwaukee coming out on top.

Just remember to use heat PEX for your hot water from the boiler and AquaPex for potable water and domestic hot water. You can get the blue or red Aquqpex but it does come uncolored as well so make sure you are using the right product in the proper application.

It would have been extremely hard to use the hand tool in that space. The M12 made installation a breeze.

As for power 3/4" is the largest I have expanded and the M12 did a fine job.
