Q:Can the flow be adjusted with the flow meters
A:Yes the flow is adjusted on the other manifold
A:Yes, the flow meters enable you to provide different flow to different loops on the manifold.
Q:What are the measurements?
A:Just the 4 loops measures 8" in length, the 4 loops with the small liter valve measures 10" in length, and the entire length is 16.4". The height is 13".
Q:1. Since the ports appear to be brass I can assume that you could not use sharkbite to connect to them? 2. Also, can the flow meters be placed on the return side just after the pumps, my pumps are on the return side. 3. If you can't use sharkbite could you have a threaded port that would except the standard threading used by water heater nipples?
A:The loops have EK25 threads. You would need to use EK25 fittings (MP154 are the 3/4" fittings included with this manifold). The flow meters can go on the supply (red) half of the manifold.
Q:I have ten cast iron radiators running off a WelMclain Boiler with a venturi system with 1 & 1/4 copper supply with each radiator teeing off with 3/4 copper. I have to cut all that copper out as I am redoing basement and wondering if I could use the above package with radiant 3/4 tubing? Wondering which tubing best? Will the tubing handle boiler temp, also wondering if the easy shark bite connectors handle boiler heat. Thanks for the feedback. Best, Chris Spain
A:You can use this manifold. You will want to use PEX with an oxygen barrier. The tubing and the SharkBite fittings will handle up to 200°F.
Q:It appears to me that most of these manifolds are designed so the pex radiant loop fittings are on the bottom. Can they be inverted so the pex loop fittings are on the top?
A:They can, but you would not be able to read the flow meters.
Q:I have 3/4" ThermaPEX that I am using to supply Cast Iron Radiators. Each Rad will be plumbed independently to a manifold (ie one rad per zone, although I am not currently zoning each rad. for now the manifold itself will be one zone).
A:You should not have any problems. This unit will work fine for you.
