Voltage, or volts, is a measurement of the difference between two electric fields (in heating terms, the difference between the Earth's electrical field and the electricity running through your wires).
Wattage, or watts, is the amount of electrical power that an appliance uses or generates.
A sheathed electric heating element is totally immersed in a heat-transfer liquid and sealed in a heater-length copper tube. The large diameter reservoir maximizes the volume of heat storage fluid to prolong the thermal constant of the entire heater. Gentle heat keeps radiating even after the thermostat turns off because of the hydronic elements retention qualities.GO-ANYWHERE DESIGN. The entire unit mounts flush to any wall and flat on any floor - wood, carpet or tile. The trim, three-inch thick functional design and low operating temperatures allow carpeting to be installed up to and around the baseboard.QUALITY INSIDE AND OUT. Heavy-duty welded steel louvered grilles discourage insertion of foreign objects and direct heat outward into the room. Designer-style junction boxes are made of high-strength Lexan+ to resist scratches and wear marks. Built-in cut-off automatically shuts down the heater should any overheating occur.

I got it to supplement the heat in a cold Chicago master bathroom. We didn't want a noisy fan or a blower that would make you feel cold coming out of the shower. We got the 46"? one because we had high ceilings and two windows in this bathroom, but putting the thermostat on low or #1 is enough to make the bathoom, an adjacent changing room AND the master bedroom toasty. We probably could have gone with a smaller unit but we love it. We can also lower the nightime setting on the home thermostat and not heat the whole house throughout the night.

Installation went pretty well without too much trouble. Build quality is okay, there were some issues internally, some metal had to be bent as they seem to be damaged in shipping as opposed to a manufacturing issue. The only issue that I've noticed is that now two weeks after they've been on, there is still a strong odor of chemicals coming from the units. I'm hoping that after a period of time that burns off, my wife has real issues with these kinds of smells so I would not recommend this for chemically sensitive people. I would have given a five star review if the smell is not so strong.

Comments about 94" Hydronic Electric Baseboard Heater (208 Volt - 2,000 Watts):
This is an electric baseboard heater using an enclosed fluid to store and radiate heat. The advantage is that the surface temperature of the heater is lower than most electric heaters and distributes heat without using electricity after the heater reaches operating temperature.

Comments about 34" Hydronic Electric Baseboard Heater (240 Volt - 750 Watts):
Great and efficient heat especially when it is controlled by a proportional thermostat. I have this heat in my entire 3,000 sf house. I replaced an old system of hot water baseboard heat powered by an oil furnace. No more dirty boiler in my garage that produced a coat of black soot on everything over the years. In addition, i saved over $1,000 per year. They have a lifetime warranty, but only if the manufacturer does not go out of business as the one I originally purchased from did. This unit was almost identical to the one I replaced.

94" inch hydronic elec. heaters

Comments about 94" Hydronic Electric Baseboard Heater (240 Volt - 2,000 Watts):
I installed 2 94" hydronic heaters ar the opposite and far ends of my house. They through off an amazing amount of heat , so much so the oil burner now runs about 25% of the time as opposed to rarely shutting off in below freezing temps.. They send the heat to the center of the house where the main thermostat is and as a result the temp. in the rooms where the heaters are is the same as the setting for the oil burner heat. I expect to save a lot of oil to more than off set the electric, not to mention the entire house is now useable, whereas before the had to shut the farthest rooms down as the oilburner never shut off.. I wired them 220 volts for savings on operational costs,I am very happy about these heaters and better yet the cost as measured against the results is very nominable especially as compated to other options such as gas logs... also maintenanc free and quiet...

Too much heat. Better than anticipated.
By Billy Bob
from Salt Lake CIty, UT
These heaters work better than we anticipated. They give off too much heat. We use them at their lowest settings. Only problem is that the thermostat cannot be wall mounted. We have to bend over under a counter to adjust the heat.
