This manifold requires (8) Loop Fitting Assemblies:

PEX Loop Fitting Assemblies Options
PEX-AL-PEX Loop Fitting Assemblies Options
Optional Installation Accessories:

Loop End Cap
Actuators
  • MA-ACT: Thermal Actuator for Rifeng Manifolds
If you want to use your manifold to heat multiple zones, you can purchase return side actuators that work along side thermostats. The actuators act as zone valves to allow you to use one manifold to control the temperature in different rooms independently.
Supply/Return Adapter Options

Note: Bleeder valves that come equipped with Rifeng Manifolds are 1" BSP Thread (manifold inlet) x 3/4" BSP Thread (outlet). If your application requires you to connect to a garden hose, you will need to purchase a Mr. PEX Manifold End Cap w/ Swivel Fill-Drain Valve separately which is 1" BSP x 3/4" Hose Thread

Comments about 4-Loop Stainless Steel Radiant Heat Manifold:

The directions were misspelled ..... They read counterclockwise to turn up flow and counterclockwise to turn down flow makes no sense. Had to go online and download the corrected directions. Also the connections for the supply and return drip. Have tighten them up but they still drip. Don't know what else to do.

          Q:

does the pex size 1/2 mean inside or outside diameter my pex says 1/2 inch but is 5/8 od how much are adaptors

            A:

1/2" PEX has a .475" inside diameter and a 5/8" outside diameter. It sounds like you have 1/2" PEX. The outside diameter of PEX will always be 1/8" larger than its nominal size.

          Q:

Will this manifold work with uponor plumbing. I have 3/4" uponor, that will be attached with ProPex expandable rings. Thanks for your help
Asked on 2/21/2012 by Jeff from Seattle, Wa

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

This manifold works with Uponor PEX tubing, but there are no ProPEX fittings available for use with it. Additionally, the loops on this manifold must be either 1/2", 3/8", or 5/8". To connect 3/4" ProPEX to the shutoff valves (which have 1" female standard pipe thread), you can use the part LF4527510 ProPEX fitting.

          Q:

I have about 1200' of 1/2" rehau pex in my slab, what kind of fittings do I need to connect the pex to this manifold? Is this a good choice or would you choose a different manifold? Also do you have a cheap pressure gauge that will hook up to this manifol?
          Asked on 2/19/2012 by Anonymous

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

As long as the Rehau tubing is standard 1/2" PEX and not PEX-AL-PEX, you can use the MA-50P fittings. You can use the MP182 pressure gauge with this manifold.

          Q:

I got one and would like to set it up but upside down so the pipes will go up to the floor above?

          • A:

I turned mine upside down and actually had to take it apart because I needed the flow from the opposite side too. Yes it does work but make sure your soldered fittings that connect to it are all lined up or it may leak like mine did. The flow meters won't work upside down but evidently Mr. Pex flowmeters (item # at pexsupply is 3710172)do work upside down. I plan to order some for my system. Also, the actuators will end up upside down and there is the possibility of water getting in them. I had one die after 3 months; I think because it got a couple drips of water in it.

            A:

You can install the manifold upside down. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to read the visual flow meters if they are upside down.
