Comments about Digital 7 Day Programmable Thermostat Heat Pump/Single Stage (1 Heat/1 Cool):

Have two thermostats in house. Replaced unusable one with this model and love it. Installation was a breeze. Like the fact that it will automatically change to air conditioning from heat when needed.
Plan on replacing other thermostat with this oe even though it still works!

Robert Shaw RS 6110 Thermostat

By Marcus

Comments about Digital 7 Day Programmable Thermostat Heat Pump/Single Stage (1 Heat/1 Cool):

I successfully installed this thermostat after briefly reviewing the installation manual but I recommend to read it thoroughly and make notes; if something doesn't make sense, call customer support (800-445-8299). The base installation was easy but it doesn't match the holes left by the RS9610 model this one replaces. After you install the batteries, the actual "boot up" of the thermostat is relatively easy. However, I had to call customer support to program the device settings, since I found the instructions in the users manual confusing. I'm still trying to learn the thermostat and its various operational settings.

One important item you should ascertain is whether you need to remove the jumpers, which are small wires that look like a staple and found in the in the various terminals. The connecting wires will not fit into the terminal if you don't. You will need small needle nose pliers and they're stuck in the terminals pretty good.

Good luck!

Comments about Digital 7 Day Programmable Thermostat Heat Pump/Single Stage (1 Heat/1 Cool):

Purchased 7 of these to replace older Robertshaw thermostats in my home. Installation was very easy and the programming was even easier. Primarily chose these due to the auto changeover feature going from cooling to heat and back as needed.

Comments about Digital 7 Day Programmable Thermostat Heat Pump/Single Stage (1 Heat/1 Cool):

Thermostats (3) were installed as part of a damper zone control system. The thermostat controls a portion of the overall living area. Easy to program with a large readout, it took less than 1/2 hr to install and program. Instructions are clear and even battery replacement is simple.

      A:

Push the up arrow button and the button featuring an icon of a flame and snowflake to password-protect your settings, or to unlock the system when already password-protected. Hold the two buttons for five seconds, and when prompted, enter a four-digit password by pushing the up and down arrows to select each digit. After selecting each one, push the flame/snowflake button to move on, or push the fan icon button to go back. Once all four digits are entered, wait five seconds for the system to unlock or save the new password.

Yes, they can be locked. You have to press and hold the right 2 buttons ( Up
arrow and heat/cool) at the same time.
Hold for a few seconds and it will start blinking. Use the arrow buttons to
scroll for your desired numbers and enter a 4 digit code. Once you've
entered the code you want, just wait a few seconds and the unit will lock.
You have to repeat the process to unlock.
