Exceptional value

Comments about Digital 7 Day Programmable Thermostat Heat Pump/Mulit Stage (2 Heat/2 Cool):

I replaced a new digital thermostat with the RS6200 Robertshaw. It was only $10 more than what I paid for the non-program unit but was in a different league when it came to functionality. The previous thermostat was working my new heat pump to death by switching on and off frequently and also running the auxiliary electric heat when it was not necessary. I set the Robertshaw for 3 cycles per hour max and 3 degree variation because the hallway where the thermostat is located varies in temperature much more than the adjoining great room. Also programmed it to turn down temperature at night and back up in the morning. It has a 7-day heating and cooling program. Problem cured! It will save our equipment and the electric bill.

The 6220 is a nice thermostat if you have the patience's and you're not an Instant gratification person, I like the way it lights up. It's easy to program it does its job if you let it. Great for offices were everyone wants to change the temperature. Ounce you program it put the access code in and no one can change it. Hands off the boss will love you for it.

Outstanding product. Works perfectly.

Comments about Digital 7 Day Programmable Thermostat Heat Pump/Mulit Stage (2 Heat/2 Cool):

For the most part it is easy to program except for having to go through all steps to get to the one you want to change.
Battery backup for programs and clock sure beats power company's thermostat.
Cheaper then the one I bought years ago without a battery back up.

      Hello Mike,

If you have set up a password in the thermostat you can NOT change it without putting in the password.  This is one of the reasons I purchased this item.  Of course, you do not have to have the thermostat "locked" with a password if you do not want to.  And you can change from "locked" to "unlocked" at will.  Hope this helps.

The temperature may be temporally changed without a password. The default
duration of the temporary change is 3 hours. The duration of the temporary
change can be changed in 1 hour increments up or down from the 3 hour
default during the temporary change procedure.
Hope this answer is helpful. I still like this thermostat after using it
      for 2+ years.

If no password has been set then anyone can override the program by using the up and down arrows. The number of hours of the override is adjustable along with the temperature. This is a very flexible thermostat. It comes with a manual and a computer PDF manual is downloadable from the manufacturer.

    Q:

How do you reset the rs 6220 thermostat
    Asked on 6/22/2012 by j from j

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

There is no reset option for this thermostat. If the unit is battery powered, then just pull out the batteries for about 20-30 minutes and put them back in. That would cause the unit to start up with the factory default settings once again. If the unit is hard wired, the program settings will have to be changed manually by going through the set up wizard once again.
