Description for Taco 0011-DM-PK

The Taco D-MAND System is the only recirculating system that operates 24 hours to provide hot water (on demand) at the same time it saves water, energy and money.
The D-MAND System is a small, silent pump that you attach to the hot and cold water lines in the cabinet under the most remote kitchen or bath fixture in the home. When the D-MAND System is activated, the cool water you normally let run down the drain is recirculated back to the water heater through the cold water line.
On demand, the pump circulates hot water from the water heater and returns the cooled water back through the cold water line. When the hot water arrives at the faucet, the D-MAND Systems patented heat sensor and control board shut off the pump to prevent pumping excess hot water into the cold water line.
Runs Only When Activated by the User
Automatically Senses When Water is Hot Enough
Saves Water, Energy and Money
Saves Construction Costs+No new return line needed and no need to drain the system
Simple Installation

Comments about 0011-DM-PK Male NPT, 0011 Pump w/ plumbing kit, 1/8 HP:

What's not to like, now instead of waiting for literally 4 minutes to get hot water to the kitchen sink, I hit the remote, wait less than one minute turn the water on and voila hot water.

It hard to imagine a women loving a plumbing product but I truly love this pump. I'm so glad we installed it.

How is the noise level if I install under my sink

The noise level is negligible. I have it installed under a sink which happens to be in a bedroom and it is not noisy at all. A little humming is all I hear.

I have a 0011-DM-PK on demand hot water circulating pump in service for
about six months and overall it has performed as advertised. The pump is
      installed in the master bedroom's bathroom vanity on the bottom shelf;
which is supplied via about 100 feet of ¾ copper pipe with and
additional 100 feet ¾ copper cold water pipe back to a tankless hot
water heater. It takes about 2.5-3 minutes for the water to reach
shutoff temperature mainly do to the ½ inch pipe in the walls which I
plan to replace in the near future.
The noise level is minimal and I believe I could reduce it more by
mounting the pump on some shock absorbing material. The level is about
the same as our refrigerator or quiet dishwasher. The noise level has
never been a problem even when I get up and take a shower while my wife
      is still asleep.
      A couple of additional comments:
I also purchased the 554-1 Remote transmitter. I was not able to get
this transmitter to work over the distance advertised, but was able to
overcome this problem by relocating the transmitter to the center of the
house via some regular 4 conductor telephone wire, (this option is not
mentioned in the installation literature). That run is about 40 feet and
the transmitter work fine with remote buttons about 60 feet from the
      pump through several walls.
One feature that would be nice but would probably jeopardize the
tankless water heater 12 year heat exchanger warranty would be to have a
method to keep the pump on for a fixed time of 5-10 minutes.
