Description for Taco HAFC201-2

The Taco Hydro Air Fan Control is the ideal interface between the thermostat and air handler that will increase year-round comfort and operating efficiency in your systems. The Hydro Air Fan Control also includes an isolated end switch to start the boiler or pump. When the thermostat calls for heat, the Fan Control energizes the end switch relay and allows the fan to operate at low speed when the water is above the aquastat setting. When the thermostat calls for cooling, the Fan Control energizes the condenser and operates on high speed. In addition to standard features, the HAFC201 Model also includes three built-in fan time delay options, two selectable pump exercise modes, a secondary aquastat connector for freeze protection and the ability to switch a pump and/or boiler. Features include:

  • External Indicator Lights
  • Works with 1- or 2-Speed air Handlers
  • 100% Factory Tested
  • Automatic Multi-Speed Switching
  • Snap-In PC Board
  • Prevents False Calls for Fan Operation
  • Simplified Wiring
  • Universal Thermostat Compatibility
  • Contractor Friendly PC Board Layout
  • Increased Operating Efficiency
  • Extended 3-Year Warranty

Comments about Hydro Air Fan Control w/ Time Delays:

I was fed up with the control to my Hydro-air Fan coils. Their original control was through an aquastat. I was constantly trying to "dial-in" the aquastat settings in order to control the Fan upon a call for heat. I would always get false calls and often cold air blowing at the end of each cycle. I tried insulating the HW lines and it made it worse. Now, I get heat when it's called for and turns off when it needs to be off! Also, I have a AHU in the attic for 2nd floor Heat/AC. Freeze protection is a nice feature.

Comments about Hydro Air Fan Control w/ Time Delays:

This item is perfect to go in between the thermostat airhandler and combi boiler. This item resolved the cold air problem between the boiler valve cutoff and airhandler over run. Works great for the price easy to install.

Comments about Hydro Air Fan Control w/ Time Delays:

This controller rocks! I used it to control my old gas fired furnace that I converted over to hydronic forced air. I was able to keep my high efficiency filter and all my existing duct. I like the circulation feature during the cooling season so I don't have to worry about stagnant water. The only drawback is that this unit requires a separate relay control board to operate the furnace fan. I think they could have incorporated the relays in this unit and made it a one-stop shop.
