**Important**
  • The MANABLOC plumbing system carries a maximum pressure/temperature rating of 100 psi @ 180°F. Excessive pressure to the MANABLOC will cause leaks.
  • Do not allow chemicals such as PVC glues or solder flux to come into contact with the MANABLOC. They will compromise the integrity of the MANABLOC and cause leaks.
  • Please consult the MANABLOC install instructions for a more comprehensive list of chemical materials that will cause harm to the MANABLOC plumbing system.

I would purchase this item for my future plumbing needs

Comments about 1/2", 7 Port Zero Lead PollyAlloy PEX Crimp Dual Temperature MiniBloc (3 hot, 4 cold):

This was the first time I decided to install the water lines for any project, I purchased the required tubing, fittings and crimp tool. The main part of the installation was the seven port MiniBloc manifold which I used to supply every user in the bathroom plus a utility sink I installed near by.All hot and cold water supply lines were installed and "no"leaks. The MiniBloc permitted me to install each supply line and pressure test each one independently. I completed this project in less than one day, it was a tremendous time saver for me and I did not have to hire an outside contractor.

Comments about 1/2", 8 Port Zero Lead PollyAlloy PEX Crimp MINIBLOC:

I decided to go with two Miniblocs insteaed of the one Manibloc. They were extremely easy to install and have worked flawlessly.

The only odd thing is that some of the names on the labels use terms that are odd (or not used in the area that I live). There are plenty of blank ones though so that you can write in your own descriptions.

1/2" Mini Block w/ 3/4" ports

By esquared

Comments about 1/2", 4 Port Zero Lead Brass PEX Crimp MINIBLOC:

I purchased this product to replace/ repair a leak in 2003 MiniBloc which was designed for 15mm. My problem is the ports are actually threaded for 3/4" but the discription says 1/2" due to the pex tubing it's designed to be used with. This s not made clear in the description and I had purchased after market connectors to screw on to the ports. So I had to reorder in 3/4" instead of 1/2" wasting a week and aggravation. I also don't under stand why MiniBlock wont just add (or at minimum offer for sale) a screw on adaptor to the port that does not need a pex connector ...... like a garden hose connector. I guess they want the product to have less diversity and or flexiblity.

Comments about 1/2", 6 Port Zero Lead Brass PEX Crimp MINIBLOC:

Mounted 2 of these about 2.5 feet from my water heater. Overall install went well with a crimp set up. Ended up using a good chunk of teflon tape to seal all caps. Intake and outake has only a small plastic clip to stop them from turning, one clip broke and we are now unable to get the cap off. Ended up having to order a new one since I didn't know if it came broken or we broke it. But in that case it kept spinning and you are unable to remove what you screw into it if it's tight.

    Q:

do these miniblocs come with the insert and nut that go on 1/2" pex and screw into the bloc?
Asked on 1/14/2014 by steve from northeast, pa

    1 answer

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

They come with the 1/2" outlet adapters but not the supply adapters. If
this is a pass through you will supply adapters for both ends. If this
is the end of a line you will need one supply adapter and a supply end cap.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

This is for just one type, either hot or cold. They give you little colored discs to put on the valves (blue for cold, red for hot). But you can't do both, it's not internally partitioned like some of the bigger manifolds.

      Answered on 6/25/2013 by Anonymous
    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

The bloc only has an input for hot or cold but not both. You will have to
purchase two blocs and put them end to end if you want to have both hot and
      cold.

      A:

It is only for hot or cold. Must use 2 separate manifolds for hot & cold.

      Answered on 6/8/2013 by Anonymous
    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

It can serve one or the other. It cannot serve both. This manifold has a
single chamber. You would have to purchase a larger one that has dual
chambers or purchase multiples of this one. Many people use these in a
branch system where the water is not all home ran. It defeats the purpose
of home running, but can be more efficient for hot water and the amount of
      pex you have to purchase.

      A:

No. It is an either or situation as there is only one common channel. You
can purchase a 2nd manifold and butt them together end to end. Use one for
hot water and the other for cold.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

The MINIBLOC that you have indicated here is designed for either hot or
cold but not both simultaneously. If you want one for both hot and cold
you need to look at the MANABLOC.

There is no 5/8" adapter that can connect directly to the MINIBLOC, but you can connect to the 3/4" threaded adapter with a proper fitting or transition to 3/4" piping in line.

I usually supply 3/4" to the master bath to supply the multiple heads in the shower area. Is there a minibloc that will allow me to do this while supplying 1/2" to the other fixtures?

      A:

I'm pretty sure that mini blocks supply only 1/2 inch loads. But they have a 3/4 inch feed-through port (which does not have a built-in valve). So you would use the block for the 1/2 inch loads. If you want a 3/4 line for the shower then branch the 3/4 line off before the miniblock, or feed the 3/4 line using the outlet port of the miniblock. (make sure that you have the adapter to connect to this outlet port.
In my experience, if you have good water pressure, and if you run a dedicated line to the shower, a 1/2 line gives you pretty good flow. And with the 1/2 line, it won't take long for the water to get hit when you start the shower.

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

You can use 3/4" adapters on the two supply ports on each MINIBLOC. Depending on how you pipe the rest of the system, this could allow you to use one of these ports to supply 3/4" hot and cold lines to your shower using a hot and cold MINIBLOC.

What are the physical dimensions, in inches, for the different minibloc sizes?

I recently purchased a 3/8 inch, 4 port minibloc. It approx. 9-1/2 inches
in length by 2-3/4 inch in width by 4 inches in height.
The port size will not really affect the overall dimensions. The port
number will affect the length. I would guess that a 10 port minibloc would
have a length of 20-21 inches.

      The 10-port crimp MINIBLOC measures approximately 20" x 4" x 2.5".
