Comments about 3/4" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter (Zero Lead):

The supply adapters were received in great condition, and were more substantial than anything I would find at the local box store. I will not write a novel as long as War and Peace about the Supply Adapters, but I will just say they are well worth the purchse price.

It's easy to forget this adapter when buying a manabloc. Just going to the hardware store and buying parts to make your own won't work as a buddy of mine discovered.

Pretty easy to install, had a little weeping at the compression nuts but it was east to fix. I wish the web site would have made itclear I needed the special wrench. The fittings are too close togrther to use a regular wrench

Comments about 3/4" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter (Zero Lead):

The Co. At first sent the wrong adapter with my Manabloc Manifold. One phone call to inform them was all it took to have the right adapter sent to me without questions. I had this one in a couple of days and did not have to send back the incorrect adapter. Now that's Customer Servce.
I highly reccomend PEXSupply

The exact brass connector for my Viega manifold. Although they should send two with the manifold, not just one. Love the zero lead part.

  • 1" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter, Zero Lead

    Q:

What is the inside diameter of this Supply Adapter on the NPT end?
Asked on 9/26/2014 by Dr. Watson

    2 answers

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

The inside diameter is of no use on NPT connections. If your idea was to sweat a pipe inside this adapter it will not work. It is designed for a 1" NPT coupler to join a supply line. 1" NPT to copper or PEX is available as an adapter.

It would be nominal pipe size. (The diameter of schedule 40 1" pipe)
      Slightly smaller than 1".

  • 1" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter, Zero Lead

    Q:

I will be using 1" pex supply going to your 24 port manabloc 3/4" inlet.
What adapter do I use to make the connection.
I am continuing the 1" run from the manabloc to the water heater.
Is the same adaptor used to continue the 1" to the water heater and what adaptor is used to connect to the water heater?

Thank you so much for all your help, your sit is the absolute best at getting answers and is an asset when deciding who to purchase material from. Again thank you,John

      A:

This 46656 adapter can be used to connect 1" PEX at MANABLOC supply inlets. An additional 1" PEX x FNPT fitting would also be needed. You can use one of the "supply" ports on the cold side (top or bottom) to feed your water heater as illustrated in the diagram at the link below using the same adapters.

  • 1" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter

    Q:

Is Teflon tape required between the supply outlet adapter and the pex fitting.
Asked on 4/18/2014 by nA from Montgomery, AL

    3 answers

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

You should not use teflon tape or any type of thread sealant at the connection between the threaded supply adapter and Manabloc body, but you should use teflon tape at the NPT end of the supply adapter (i.e. where it would connect to a female NPT fitting).

Answered on 4/19/2014 by Old Man from Port Lavaca Tx
    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

If the supply outlet adapter or the pex fitting has a rubber seal that seals the joint between the two fittings when tightening the threads, then teflon tape is not needed. Beware that Teflon tape may damage plastic threads especially when threading with metal threads on to it. So it may be better in this situation to use plumbers putty. Hope this helps. Doug.

    Q:

Is the Male NPT of this adapter compatible with the Female NPT of the Sharkbite 3/4 adapter model # U088LF? I need to make sure that the threads match. Thank you.

      A:

Yes, NPT is national pipe thread, so it is a standard thread that will work with other NPT fittings (including the Sharkbite female-threaded adapter you inquired about)

Yes, the male threads on the Manabloc adapter are standard 3/4" tapered pipe threads.

      Hi,
These parts comply with ANSI-NSF and ASTM standards. Since both items are
standard ¾” size, they should fit fine. A 3/4” diameter item will have 12
Threads per inch and the mating dimension is exact( ¾”).

  • 3/4" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter (Zero Lead)

    Q:

What is the recommended adapter to connect 1/2 water pipe to a 1/2 Manablock system?
    Asked on 2/6/2012 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Supply adapters are only available in 3/4" and 1" sizes (1/2" would not provide an adequate amount of water to the manifold). The distribution ports, on the other hand, work with either 3/8" or 1/2" PEX. Those fittings come with MANABLOCs, in the amount, size, and style ordered.

  • 3/4" Male NPT x MANABLOC Supply Adapter (Zero Lead)

    Q:

What is meant by "zero lead?" I have a leak at the hot water supply line coming into the manifold and a friend a few months back tried to remove the connection to replace the washer (we presumed that was what was causing the problem) but once the nut was unscrewed there was no clearance between the manifold pipe and the supply line (is this is was is meant by zero lead?) so we couldn't get at the washer. Instead he applied some teflon sealant and that has held up until now. I would like to change the washer and stop the leak.

      A:

"Zero lead" adapters are lead-free and approved for use in California and Vermont.
