Description for Watts 0206003

The MMV-M1series can be set to any temperature between 80°F and 120°F with flow rates as low as 0.5 gpm and as high as 12 gpm. This mixing valve series is listed under ASSE Standard 1016 for single fixture applications, ASSE 1017 for hot water source applications and ASSE 1070 for single or multiple fixture applications.
The MMV-M1 series uses a double throttling design to control both the hot and cold water supply to the mixed outlet. The superior flow characteristics of this valve provide accurate temperature control (3°F) with low pressure drop across the rated flow range.
As an added feature the MMV-M1 series incorporates integral inlet filter washers and check valves in both the hot and cold water inlets to protect against cross flow.
The MMV-M1 is available with either union thread (-UT), union solder (-US) connections. Adapters can be used to connect to CPVC or PEX end connections.

Comments about Watts 3/4"" LFMMV, Lead Free Threaded Mixing Valve:

Installs easily, well-designed and manufactured. Holds output water at rated +/- 3 F even with solar-heated water at 180F. I look forward to a long life for this product.

Any time we replace a water heater, we always replace the mixing valve also. It's kinda foolish not to.

Comments about Watts 3/4"" LFMMV, Lead Free Threaded Mixing Valve:

I have an oil fired boiler with a tankless coil in it for domestic hot water. My water temp was just about 160 and obviously way to hot. I made some adjustments to the aquastat on the boiler which helped until the thermostats called for heat at which point the water temp would just get hot again. I installed this using sharkbite fittings and some spare pex I had laying around. I know watts says that this is only good up until 120 degrees but you can get it hotter if you choose. Great product that was easy to install!

This valve (part 0206004) is not lead free. Watts does offer a lead free version of this valve (Series LFMMV).

                    • Q:

I'm thinking of using this with a solar water heater. In the summer I'm sure the water on the hot side will be hot enough, but we happens when the hot side is not hot anymore? Does it just open full to the hot side trying to get to the preset temp?

                      Thanks
