The instructions indicated all the internals should be removed for soldering, but a portion of the internals couldn't be removed.

                          Comments about Watts 1/2" L70A-F Lo-Temp Sweat Tempering Valve (100° - 130°):

I use this valve to temper the hot water coming straight from my tankless coil. I chose the low range to knock it down to where I can just take a shower with no cold water mixed in at the fixture. It works great for me, and the temperature stays even throughout the shower. Most people probably like the option of going a little hotter though, so they should get the normal temp model.

Heat soak in copper pipes makes the water a little hot at first, but it settles down to the set temperature within a few seconds, and then doesn't noticeably deviate from there. The valve responds quickly as the boiler temperature changes, and does what it is supposed to do.

Would you recommend this product to eliminate toilet tank sweating in the humid summer months? I'm using a tankless instant hot water heater that needs .8 gallons/minute to activate, and a toilet that fills at about 1.15 gallons per minute.

This tempering valve would probably help a little bit, but it may not completely solve the problem.
