                    I changed a leaking pressure reliefe valve with this one. It leaked so I already knew that chances are the expansion tank was shot .I Changed out the expansion tank it was completely water lodged no more leaks!(If after you change out the pressure reliefe valve and it still leaks it is almost 90 percent of the time a failed expansion tank)

                                    It depends on the piping/threading to which you plan to connect the valve. Male connections would be needed to connect to female threads, etc.
