Quick Expandable and Easy

Comments about AQUACENTER Valved Manifold, Kit D 4 Outlet w/ 1/2" ProPEX:

I have been using this manifold for almost 10 years. It's very quick to install and not a single one leaked or failed with the exception on the end pieces. Be sure to use plumbers grease before snapping parts together. The rubber ring got pinched on install without it, but quickly repaired. I've hooked them together or hung them from the main water line in.

Defective EP Manifold Body Leaking

By John

Comments about AQUACENTER Valved Manifold, Kit D 4 Outlet w/ 1/2" ProPEX:

I installed a 4 port manifold (along with about 5 others in the system)and about 1.5 years later the sidewall of the manifold is leaking at an injection mold knockout pin location - I happen to be an engineer involved in design plastic parts on occasion and I know roughly that this will not be an isolated issue. The leak weeps about 1/4 cup a day and it is on the hot water side - it only leaks when there is hot water demanded and the manifold heats up.

Expedition camper application

Comments about AQUACENTER Valved Manifold, Kit D 4 Outlet w/ 1/2" ProPEX:

Two manifolds were purchased for hot and cold domestic water for an expedition camper that will be used off-road. The pex A product line was chosen for its use in an environment that will subject it to vibration, heat, cold, and other harsh elements. Used in marine applications which can simulate these conditions, I feel this is the best product for this project.
Pex A is very user friendly. I would highly recommend using the Milwaukee tool that is designed for pex A application rather than the manual spreader.
I'm a fabricator who uses only high quality products in my builds and I believe this line of pex, although more expensive, is the best available.

Simple to Install Manifold

Comments about AQUACENTER Valved Manifold, Kit D 4 Outlet w/ 1/2" ProPEX:

I own 3 houses and 3 barns. As I remodel I'm installing these manifolds. They never leak, install quickly, are easy to use, and enable secure mounting anywhere. I have installed a dozen so far and have never had an issue. They are expandable so as your demand grows they can be connected to each other so there are no limitations. I leverage the 1" nad 3/4" end pieces for instances where I need more flow than 1/2".

I would do the entire house this way!

Comments about AQUACENTER Valved Manifold, Kit D 4 Outlet w/ 1/2" ProPEX:

Finaly getting around to installing a half bath in the basement. The space had the plumbing roughed-in nine years ago, but everything had to be redone in order to fit a ceiling. After looking over all of the options, I decided that pex tubing with hot and cold manifolds was the way to go. Everything worked out great. The only minor rub is that I had to figure out on my own what would be required. The website should offer suggestions as to what parts are requied to put together the manifold assemblies.

Master control center - turns them on!

Comments about AQUACENTER Valved Manifold, Kit D 4 Outlet w/ 1/2" ProPEX:

I wanted to have a central location to cut off the water supply to the fixtures in addition to a local cutoffs. It was easy to implement and works great. Just make sure you plan in advance to have enough room around the manifold to route all the pex because it takes a bit of clearance space to accomodate all the pex.

    Q:

Is it possible to replace a line once it has been connected to the aquacenter?

Uponor's literature states you can not reuse EP fittings. Cutting the ring and heating the pipe is recommended for BRASS fitting only.

      A:

Yes, with a razor knife cut the outer ring off. Cut with the side of the
blade against the tube so there is no chance of cutting into or through the
tube. Use a heat gun to heat the tube at the fitting while pulling the tube
at the same time(do not over heat). Next replace the tube in the normal
      fashion.

      Hi Brian
I think it would be hard to do that because it is crimped on.
If you could get the old line off with out damaging the manifold it might work.
      Thanks

    Q:

Just to make sure I understand what all I need to order, could you list the parts needed for a setup with multiple manifolds coupled together to make a hot and cold valved supply manifold? I would think the description for two manifolds coupled together for each of the hot and cold legs would be sufficient.

      A:

You need one manifold for each cold and warm line. If you only need 4
outputs, then you don't need a coupler, you need 2 end caps.
Each manifold has one input and 4 valved outputs + the end point that needs
to be either capped or coupled to another manifold. If you need more than 4
outputs on either line, then you need couplers to connect 2 or more
manifolds together for each line, hot and cold. But you will need at least
2 end caps regardless of the number of manifolds you have coupled together.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

You will need the couplers (1 for each end and joint, end cap, a pex adapter plug for one end. I don't believe they approve of a flow through setup, so you have these manifolds tee'd off the main or home run straight to it. That's it.

      Hi,
How many hot and cold runs do you have? What size cold supply pipe. Will the
cold water line to the hot water heater go through the cold manifold and
exit the side opposite the cold supply?

If I want the option of replacing valves should one fail would it be better to use the aquacenter with the threaded outlets as opposed to this one with the propex outlets? If so, I didn't see the 4 outlet with threaded, only the 3 outlet with threaded.
