Barb closure system poorly designed

Comments about AQUACENTER Valved Manifold Assembly/Mounting Bracket:

Easy to use. But the barb is attached to the body of the ring with a very thin section of plastic that is very easy to break - especially when it's cold. Broke 3 of these things in cold conditions. Barb section is poorly designed. But you have to use them if you want to use the manifold.

  • AQUACENTER Valved Manifold Assembly/Mounting Bracket

    Q:

Do I need one of these for each manifold coupling, plus the ends of the manifold, or just the coupling?

Yes, one is needed for each coupling and the ends of the manifold.

You need one for each end and the coupling. The hold the end caps in and hold the manifold on each side of the coupling.

You'll need one for each end of your manifold and any coupling you have in
between. For example: A two piece manifold (8 ports) would require three
mounting brackets to secure (one on each end of the overall manifold and
one for the coupling between them). A three piece manifold (12 ports)
      would require four mounting brackets.

You need one for each coupling and one for each manifold end for a total of three if you are connecting two manifolds.

Yes, a Manifold Assembly/Mounting Bracket is required for everybe it the inlet, coupling or a capped end. The bracket holds everything in place as well as mounting the manifold to a wall or ceiling.
      Hope this helps.

Yes! You need one for each end. For example:
      - a single manifold = you need two of these
      - three manifolds joined = you need four (one each end and two in between)
      Hope that helps

yes, you will need brackets for the end caps and the supply fitting in addition to each coupling.

      A:

I believe you need a bracket at each coupling and at both ends of the manifold. Even though the couplings, inlets and end caps have rubber o-rings on them to prevent leaks and appear to fit tightly, the brackets lock them all in place so that they cannot be pushed out by the force of the water once the system is pressurized.

you need it for the ends as well. the ends have an o ring and just shove into the manifold, so the coupling holds it in place.
